Vincent Van Gogh For SaleI have a 1979 VW Type 2 Westfalia camper van for sale. His name is Vincent Van Gogh! I bought it from my best friend in 2000, who bought it in 1987. At the time my friend bought it, it had everything fixed, including having the engine rebuilt at 106,000 miles. He used Vincent as his daily driver, and took many long road trips throughout the country over the years. He took excellent care of Vincent, getting regular maintenance, repairs, and oil changes when they were due and necessary, until he sold it to me. Before selling Vincent to me, everything had been fixed, he gave it a tune-up, changed all of the fluids and belts, seals, cleaned it all up and gave it a good wax. I have the original manuals and some of the original paperwork. The odometer reads 194,576 miles, and with the engine having been rebuilt at 106,000 miles, there are 88,000 miles on the engine. The title is free and clear.I drove Vincent as my daily driver for many years, and I also took excellent care of him, getting regular maintenance, repairs, and oil changes when they were due and needed. I was fortunate to be given a new daily driver, and I then used Vincent specifically for regular camping trips and drives to the mountains with my two children and two Great Danes, throughout the years. I also used him as a backup when my daily driver was in the shop, until 2014, when everything was up to date and running great, and the engine still had that awesome VW air cooled engine sound! At that time I became very ill with cancer, and had many surgeries, so unfortunately I was unable to drive. He has been stored in my garage since, though right now he doesn’t start. The bus has a kitchen with a table, sink, a propane gas stove, and refrigerator. I used the table, stove and sink when camping, and they worked great. I never used the refrigerator, though my friend used it all the time. There is a second battery, and a propane tank located underneath. All four tires, and the two spares, are in great shape. The passenger seat turns around nicely to face the living space. The swing arm for the table works easily and the table is in good condition. The pop top tent lifts and locks into place, and has no tears. All of the seatbelts are intact and work. The back bench seat easily goes from the seat to the bed position and back again. The slider door opens easily, and closes using pressure with both hands. The front, back and slider doors all lock and unlock easily. The windows and louvers open and close, and the screens have no tears. There are two child’s cots/ hammocks for the front cab. I changed the curtains only because they were drab, though all of the original curtains are included. The cabinets and carpets are all in good condition. The windshield is intact with no cracks. There is a locking gas cap. In addition, as with any VW owner, it comes with some extra parts thrown in!Who will be the next one to carry Vincent Van Gogh into the next chapter of fun?$16,500
