I am pleased to offer this highly original, #’s matching 1974 VW Super Beetle known as “The Sun Bug”. The Sun Bug was only offered by VW in 1974. This beetle is presented by the second owner with only approx. 39k original miles. Original owner owned the car from 1974 till 2019. VIN # is 1342531873.

Car comes with some great original documentation including the original window sticker showing the 1974 MSRP of $3,043.30.

This 1974 Volkswagen Super Beetle Sun Bug features a 1600cc flat 4, 4-speed manual transmission, Sun Bug special gold metallic exterior, two-tone brown cloth bucket seats w/gold carpet, 15” silver painted wheels w/ radial tires, factory sunroof and rosewood dash.

Car comes with the original engine and trans. in excellent running condition. Paint is approx. 90% original with only the front bonnet being repainted due to stone chips. In the interior, the seats were replaced with original style seats. Always garaged.

The original owner reports winning many local car show awards with this rare, limited edition, highly original beetle.

Odometer Disclosure:

The current odometer shows 5,XXX miles. The original speedo/odo was replaced at 34,087 due to malfunction. Total mileage is therefore approx. 39,XXX miles. See photos of original odometer in the picture section.
