Description of 1992 Volvo 940

I believe I am the third owner of this great 940T. I bought it from someone who had it for over ten years. He kept meticulous records in a binder including dealer receipts from the previous owner (who apparently kept it in a climate controlled garage for the first 10 years). Very well maintained, ots of money spent to keep everything functioning like new including two AC overhauls (R134a of course, ir is cold), ew Bilstein struts, raking system, ooling system, nd lots more like the rear pinion seal with diff service. I have not read all the receipts as there are so many. I have repaired the sunroof (works great) and the driver's heated seat. The things that do not work are the cruise (feels like the switch, ave spare ones but have not swapped out yet), oost gauge, nd the recline in the seat only works in one direction, eels like the switch. Seat is perfectly positioned and can be adjusted manually. This 940T drives perfectly. It is tight, attle free, nd a lot of fun, ets up to speed effortlessly. It was garaged its whole life. The paint is original and in excellent condition. Minor touch up has been done. There are several cosmetic flaws that are hard to notice unless you look closely. A few dings on the hood, nd the hood dips slightly on the left front corner (and sticks up slightly in the middle) due to a very minor collision.

Sometimes these B230FT motors (in my experience) can be very vibey at idle and when revving and generally feel worn out when they have high miles. This one is extremely smooth and vibration free, oves to rev. I hear a little typical piston slap when revving cold, ut it quickly goes away when warm and when driving. This is also the smoothest shifting Volvo transmission I have owned (of about 20 RWD cars). Again, luids and all maintenance items were addressed regularly (including valve adjustment!). Does not leak or smoke at all, ot pressurizing the coolant tank as they sometimes do. It is currently wearing good Bridgestone Blizzak WS60 snow tires on very good Hydra model Volvo alloys, ust mounted and balanced. No money or maintenance needed to drive for many years. Interior is extremely clean, inor wear on driver's leather, eat is very comfortable. No smoke or water leaks/smells. I love this car, nd it is rare around here that a good 940T comes up for sale. Reason for offering this for sale is that I already have a 240 and a 740 5 speed, nd I take the bus to work! Needless to say I do not need this many cars, ut I love these old Volvos. If it does not sell I will happily keep (the 240 might go instead), ut if it is something a fellow Volvo enthusiast can use more than I, reat. Selling for only what I have in it, s usual my labor is free. I have done my best to described this car as honestly as possible. I am confident that most people would be very satisfied with this car's condition, ut please ask questions before you buy.
