NO RESERVE. Original 1984 Volvo 244 GL. Lots of paperwork dating back to the original owner; including a 20-day Florida tag that came on the car brand new in '84. New Air Mass Meter. Brand New 5 year Battery. Brand New Alternator belts.

RUST FREE Southern Car. Has one small spot on the bottom of the rear quarter panel that has been touched up. I will include a photo. Solid floor pans; and no visible rust elsewhere.

Close to Immaculate Tan Cloth Interior for the age. There are not many 240's left with nice interior; and this car is far above average. M46 Transmission (4 speed with Electric Overdrive). The electric overdrive works and is functioning fine on this car. You will notice that the black molding under the chrome on the drivers door is missing in the photo. I have the molding and plan to put that on this weekend.

Odometer works and shows the accurate mileage at only 155,912. The original owner towed this car behind his camper. So 60-70 thousand of those miles are from towing, not driving. Mechanically less than 90,000 miles.

Like most old Volvo’s the A/C is currently not working. I believe it needs a compressor. A new one can be purchased for under $300. If you win and purchase the compressor I would be happy to install it on the caronce auction ends.

On Apr-29-18 at 19:15:45 PDT, seller added the following information:

I purchased this car from my from my best friend who has owned it since 2011. It was his first car and he babied it. He bought a Triumph TR6 to restore and simply wanted this gone so he could focus his time and money on that car. He knew I was a volvo guy, so he sold it to me.
The car has a brand new blower motor as of a few years ago. It’s a daunting job on these cars. So have piece of mind that you won’t need to do it during your ownership. It also had a new alternator put on a few years ago.

A few more additions that I wanted to mention after looking over the documentation which was kept on this car:
@125,911 miles - New power steering pump installed. Front inner seals. Repacked wheel bearings (both front wheels). New Front Struts.
@127,263 miles - Overdrive ground fixed, Transmisson fluid flushed, Overdrive Filter Cleaned, Overdrive rebuilt with new clutch. A/C retrofitted to R134A.
@128,200 miles - New Clutch in main transmission, new pressure plate, and throw out bearing. Flywheel turned. Transmission Mount replaced with new hardware. HD amount from IPD.
@129,365 - New Torque Rod Bushings. New Master Cylinder. New Fuel Injector O-rings, Intake Manifold Gasket, Rotor Button.
@134,000 - Fuel tank removed and steam cleaned. New Bosch Premium Fuel filter and tank strainer. Overdrive Selinoid taken apart and serviced.

Lastly, eBay will not let me upload another photo. If you would like to see a photo of the small surface rust spot on the button of the drivers side quarter panel I can text you some photos. Thank you!
