You are looking at my 57 Willys Delivery Gasser. I pulled this rare panel truck out of a barn a few years ago in original 6 cyl 2wd condition. Because it had a factory straight axle, t was an easy choice to go Gasser. The engine is a stock 454 Chevy big block from a 1986 Chevy motor home. It runs fine but could use valve seals. It smokes a little when you are off the gas going down hills. Under acceleration, t works just fine. The Trans is the TH400 from the motor home. It also works fine. The rear is an 8.5" 10 bolt 3.08 open (not posi) from a 74 Chevy Nova. There are new 4x4 leaf springs up front to handle the big block. The front axle and brakes are the original Willys (including the master cylinder). The braking system works fair but I wouldn't tailgate people. The steering is original Willys and is surprisingly tight. We replaced the floors and rocker panels in the cab area with reproduction sheet metal. It still needs ¼ panel work and these panels are available. The rear cargo area is solid. There's one small rust hole in the roof (pictured). Doors are solid. The paint is original patina and then I added and faded my business name on the side. There is a crack in the windshield. Driver side vent glass is missing. The bucket seats are 64 T-bird and are welded in position. The 140 MPH speedometer is 64 Buick Riviera. All the lights work and this vehicle is safe for the road. I had an antique tag on it so there was no inspection. As a Rat Rod, feel the only thing this needs is a new pair of back tires. The ones that are on it have some dry rot (I drive it like this all the time). So......... how does it drive? Like a wheel barrow with a big block. Because it's a panel truck, t rattles and there is a lot of echo inside the cab. It drives down the road straight, akes turns fine but rides like a buck board. The stock 454 will light those big tires up any time you'd like. I have an extra electric fan on it and it runs cool. On hot days it does tent to vapor lock at red lights. I hate to sell this thing. It gets looks and people pointing were ever it goes. Was a big hit in last year's Halloween parade. My car collection is growing and I'm running out of space. I rescued this thing from a barn and breathed new life into it. Now it's time for someone else to enjoy it. You are welcome to came see and drive it. Dave 570-527-3450
