1963 Willys Jeep CJ5 Full Body Off Resotration

Full frame off restoration of a 1963 CJ5 jeep. Last year the Willy/Kaiser made these vehicles. It has had all four wheels replaced, our brake hubs replaced new wheel cylinders all new seals on all four wheel differential and knuckles. Hydraulic clutch has been added, ew clutch, ressure plate and flywheel replaced. Transmission has been overhauled and new gears with bearings and seals replaced. The transfer case has been overhauled and new seals and bearings. The parking break shoes have been replaced. The engine is a 4cylinder Hurricane motor which has had the block replaced with a NEW block, ew heads, versize pistons, eplaced lifters, rankshaft, amshaft, iming gears, il pump, ew rods, ardened valves and seats for use with unleaded fuel.radiator has had overflow added, ower steering has been added a $1800.00 addition, he steering wheel has had a tilt and telescoping one added. The interior is all new and modified drivers seat to allow for 6'4' driver plenty of room to shift and drive versus the standard location of the seat Electric fuel pump for security with hidden switch eliminates the sometimes leaking manual pump which leaked into engine and destroyed camshaft. NO MORE.

Gauges are all new original equipment fully functional in addition a digital tachometer with aftermarket temperature and water temperature have been added. Lastly there is a custom oil pressure gauge for monitoring what was an important aspect of these hurricane motors. Manual direct feed from galley to monitor. New vacuum operated windshield wiper actuators with manual operators with handles. never been in rain anyway or adverse circumstances. Vehicle is immaculate in condition.

Power brake dual cylinder added with all new brake shoes all the way around. Interior is armor coated to eliminate any water that may stay if using off road. 4 wheel drive operates great with Hi and low speeds selector with three speed transmission. this will go up anything and still cruise at 65 MPH on freeway. Lifters have been modified to allow the use of synthetic oil as opposed to low sulfur oils now available. back in the day hi sulfur oils were able to cushion the lifter against the camshaft. since these oils are not available we have hardened the lifters to allow present oils to operate engine fully protected.

Windshield folds down if desired with top off. New soft top with doors and windows which is removable, oors can be removed in seconds if desired. Unit has had seatbelts added as my wife was afraid of falling out of the jeep. Full Roll bar inside, new rear bumper which is custom has been added which has LED lights built into the frame of the bumper for brake and turn signals in addition to the larger stock lights on vehicle. This is ready to go anywhere at anytime it is registered as a special purpose vehicle as it is used for parades and showing. Included is the original tow bar that attaches quickly to the front bumper for easy towing with another vehicle if desired like a motor home or other. Painted the same color as the jeep.
