Description of 1938 Buick Other |
Stately and rare 1938 Buick Limited Model 91. Only 437 built with very few surviving. Recognized Classic by Classic Car Club of America. Runs and drives great with plenty of power for such a huge car (4. 68 pounds). Handles easily. 12 volt conversion so that it will start no matter how hot the weather which really helps in Texas in the summer. Brakes redone and she will stop on a dime with no pulling. This is the car I take when my wife is with me and I need to make it to our destination and back home. Chrome is good. Some of the glass has laminate separating and needs replacing. The dash and window moldings have been woodgrained and look very nice. After market turn signals. Accessory fog lamps. Huge 140 inch wheelbase made her a beast of the road in '38. Driver's compartment nicely redone in heavy and durable vinyl. Passenger compartment original with minor moth damage and some water stain. but usable as it is. particularly if you favor original. I am no photographer. but I can email additional photos if interested. This car is no show winner. but if you drive your cars like I do she is a bunch of fun to have around. For information call Joe. 979-203-8830In response to questions: no rust; cruises easily at 60 m. p. h. (fast enough in 80 year old car); good/very good tires (2 new). |
