Description of 1951 Chevrolet Other

You are bidding on a 1951 Chevy COE stakebed truck. I bought this truck 3 years ago with the intention of updating it to a late model dually frame and using it as a work truck. but I have not had the time. and the truck has sat for the last 3 years. Engine ran 3 years ago. but I have not tried to start it in at least 2 years. I believe it is a 1. 5 ton chassis. Most everything is original on the truck. except the engine and transmission. It was swapped out with a chevy 350. which ran when I bought it. The good: The steel on the cab and bed is in great condition. There is some minor surface rust on the top of the cab. but all the important parts like the steps are solid and are not rotted out. Truck ran and drove when I got it three years ago. The bad: Front right bake drum leaked fluid. so brakes are inoperable. I have not taken the wheel off. but I assume the brake cylinder blew out. Although the wood on the bed is mostly complete. it would need to be completely replaced before using it for any kind of loads. There is some surface rust on the cab. but no body rot that I can see. Also. the driver side door window is cracked. This could be a great foundation for a custom pickup conversion. or a good candidate for a swap to a late model dually frame. This truck is being sold as is where is. as a bill of sale only. It has not been registered since 2004. but I have the original signed pink slip and the bill of sale from the previous owner that I bought it from. along with some receipts from the engine rebuild. If you have questions or would like pictures of specific parts of the truck. please let me know. Unless prior arrangements have been made $500 is due by Paypal within 48 hrs of end of auction. Truck must be picked up and paid for with Cash or check within 72 hours of auction end. Truck is listed locally. so seller reserves the right to end the auction early. All transportation and shipping of vehicle must be worked out by the winning bidder. I will not arrange or handle any of the shipping.
