Description of 1963 Ford Galaxie 63 1/2 2 DOOR HARDTOP

I Am At A Crossroad With My Quest For The "Perfect For Me" Galaxie. And Have Decided To Pass Along My Current 63 1/2 To A New Home. To Fund The Build Up Of My "Keeper 63". I Bought This Car This Past Spring. Had A lot Of Fun With It. And Made A Few Improvements On It. Made It Roadworthy). I Am Willing To Send It To A New Home Exactly As It Now Sits For What I Have In It. Which Is $6000. It Was A Former Show Car. With Wild Paint. Chromed Out Engine Compartment. Probably Everything Edelbrock Ever Made For An FE Engine. It HAD. But NO LONGER HAS. Edelbrock Alum. Heads. Dual 4 Intake) It Still Has Crites Big Tube Headers. And Dual Exhaust With Flowmasters. Chrome Valve Covers. And An Aluminum Radiator. In Its Past As A Show Car. It HAD. ACustomized Interior. It Even Had White Carpet! Those Days Are Distant In Its Past. And The Gaudy Early 80's Glitz Has Been Removed. But It Helped Preserve It Here In Iowa. Where Salt Typically Takes Its Toll. It Was Rescued A Year And A Half Ago. After Sitting Along Side A Guys Garage With A Blown Up Engine For Several Years. Paint Severely Cracking (MANY Coats Of Clear). And In Need Of Some TLC. It Was Stripped. And Given A Coat Of Sumitt "Hot Rod Black" Epoxy Paint. A Good Running. But Stock Engine (390 To My Knowledge) Installed Between The BIG Tube Headers. And Under The Crites 'Glass Hood. New Brakes Were Installed All Around. New Tires. Battery. Gas Tank. And Many Other Small Items. And The Old Gal Was Almost Ready To See Pavement Again. I Purchased It From The Gentleman Who Rescued It. And Had Became Burnt Out On Removing The Many Layers Of Paint/Clear. And Spending Most Of The Past Winters Nights Bringing It Back From Pergatory. I Did A Carb Rebuild/Cleaning On it. Some Work With The Timing. And Most Importantly. Hooked Up The Vacuum Line To The Cruise-o-matic (He Thought The Transmission Was Shot Because It Wouldn't Shift Properly. And He Couldn't Get It To Idle Down. I Was At The Right Place At The Right Time! Anyway. It Is Now For Sale. Where Is. As Is. It Still Needs Lots Of Work. But People Love It At Shows And Parking Lots The Way It Is. Drive It While You Improve It! There Is No Interior In The Car. It Had Hideous 64 XL Seats And Door Panels In It Done In Pink And White. With The Afore Mentioned "White" Carpet. And A Mid 70's Mustang Floor Shifter Grafted To The XL Console. Door Panels Are Still In The Car. But Seats. Console. And Shifter Are Now Gone (Thankfully!). You Can Put Whatever You Want In It For Seats And Etc. (I CAN BUILD A CUSTOM BENCH SEAT INTERIORFOR THIS CAR. OR EVEN INSTALL A FACTORY XL INTERIOR FOR $$$EXTRA$$$ I Am A Professional Auto Upholsterer/Instructor ). The Dash Is There. NOT Cut Up) But Missing The Heater Controls. Radio. And Clock. It Does Need Some Minor Rear Floor Well Work. And Some Of The holes From The Former Grafted Interior Repaired. The Only Major Rust Issue. Is The "Center Of The Trunk Floor Needs Replaced (Fuel Cell Sat On Top Of More "White" Carpet In Its Former Life. And It Didn't Have A Trunk Lid Seal) ALL Of The Body Mounts. Floor Channels. Etc Are In Decent Shape. And Really. Other Than Putting Some Patches In A Few Flat Areas. There Is Minimal Rust On This Car. The Edges Of The Trunk Lid. Doors. Etc Are Solid As New. And Need NO Repair Or Work. It Does NOT Appear To Have Had Any Collision Damage. Anyway. LONG Description. And As Accurate As I Can Make It. This Is A Fun Work In Progress! It's Located Just East Of Des Moines Iowa On Interstate 80. Shipping To Almost Anywhere In The Lower 48 Shouldn't Run More Than $800. (Or Bring A Truck And Trailer. And Take Your New Toy Home. Save The $$$ For Future Improvements) Its Turn-Key Fun. Oh. nd I Almost Forgot. The FE Engine With Big Tube Headers. Stainless Steel Exhaust. Flowmasters. And Bell Shaped Resonator Tips Sound "SWEET"
