I have for sale my 1979 Mercury Carpi RS. I bought the car with plans to restore it and drive but plans have changed and unfortunately I don't have the time to dedicate into the car anymore. The car is a 5.0 with an Edelbrock carb, headers, an electric fuel pump, and a new battery.The 5.0 is backed by an automatic transmission that does have a higher stall converter in it (although there is a clutch pedal hidden under the carpet). The car is in need of a paint job, the paint is honestly what lets the car down at the moment, especially since the body is primarily straight except for some minor hail dings on some of the upward facing surfaces. On the inside, the seats have been recovered in a very nice black and blue vinyl, the carpet is a little on the wore side, and the dash does have the stock wood trim instead of the RS inserts. The car has a nice set of new tires on a good set of ford turbine 4 lug wheels. This car has been in Tennessee it whole life and is RUST FREE, I have found no holes in the car what so ever. This would be a great starter car for someone looking to get into fox bodies, the body is solid, it runs good, and its not your typical cookie cutter mustang. I do have a hood that can come with it that has all of the pre-drilled RS hood scoop holes, I just do not have the scoop. The interior does need a little attention, it will need carpet and the headliner droops a bit, but it may be able to be repaired.
