Description of 1974 Alfa Romeo GTV coupe 2-door. |
Paint is driver quality, needs a proper buff to properly bring it back. Always a Colorado car, still in its original colours of dutch blue on tan, matching numbers car as well. Rust is minimal, you can see the hole where someone put a jack through the floor board behind the passenger seat. also the bit of rust behind the passenger front wheel and behind the one jacking point, I have put a jack on it and it doesn't make any crunching sounds. Little bit of bubbling on the driver side rear wheel arch. The trunk is in VERY nice condition. all the doors and deck lids fit nice as you will see. The driver side door was opened a little far at one time so you can see a crease in the right light. Transmission is very smooth, doesnt fall out of gear or crunch into 1st or second. The engine has great pull, it was rebuilt by a local Alfa mechanic maybe 40,000 miles ago. I have all the receipts and documents for the car from new, I even have the photos of the body work and paint done in the mid 90's, again it was a 1 owner car from day one until I purchased it from him this past march. There is a diary of every oil change since new. You will see the interior is tired, headliner is shot, dash has cracks, the speedo/fuel gauge work. Tach stopped working, it could just be a cable, most of the lights work, it will need a new set of shocks and a few suspension bushings. Needs a new windshield, however the 2L and 1750 GTV were a glued in windshield so you will need to source the proper windshield trim that fits into the gasket per older step-nose cars. Mr. Fiat has those. Front and rear lower valances are in great shape, they are usually rusted out. feel free to call with any questions the car can be viewed anytime phil 970-819-5159 |
