Description of 1966 AMC Other DPL |
Up for auction is my 1966 Ambassador DPL 2 door. This car has been sitting for 6 years. I have no time to restore it since going back to school. Since sitting. covered. it has developed much more body rust than I can fix. The rear quarters have blown out on the bottom and the front fenders are starting to get that way also. It has a running 327 V8. Holley 4 BBL. Accel electronic ignition. dual exhaust with glasspacks (donut gaskets leak) and a posi rear end from a Marlin. Right before storing it. I had the 3 speed tranny completely rebuilt and it has 50 miles on it - drove it to my friend's house for storage; drove it home. The engine runs great and it shifts fine. Interior is in fair shape with new seat covers prior to storage. Glass is all good. Driver's door window needs work going back up. The headliner is out but I have it and all the trim for it. Chrome is in good shape with minor pitting. Vinyl top is completely destroyed from weather. What you are getting is basically a strong drivetrain in a weak body. If you can do the metal work. this is the car for you. I have a couple videos and many more pictures here: https://www. dropbox. com/sh/aa81h4rwb9izuwt/AADAN1b9WufUKW9nfZ30n3wSa?dl=0 Car is located in Rhode Island and is sold as is. as seen with no warranties. Reserve is ridiculously low. |
