Description of 1972 BMW 2002 |
Like it's stated. these are projects. The green one is actually a Tii but the engine was swapped years ago to a non-Tii engine. It comes with a nice and wanted set of wheels. It is also the only one that runs though the brakes are shot. When I bought it. I planned to use it for parts for the other two because of the significant rust on it. The engine in it was rebuilt about 50K miles ago by the person I bought it from. He was an engineer major and used it while in college. The interior is in almost perfect condition thought it is dirty. The 76 one is a rolling shell. In my opinion it is a good candidate for restoration. The engine and the transmission are out though the engine is frozen. The vehicle is complete except for the fenders. The person I bought it from took them off because he was going to replace them. I have a spare driver's side fender that comes with this listing. The vehicle was pressure washed and the rusty parts were treated with POR 15 The third one is a 75 model. It is complete except for the rear bumper and some interior trims. Again. in my opinion. this is also a good candidate for restoration. I took the pictures of this vehicle early fall. It does not run and I would guess engine would need either a partial or complete rebuilding to run. I really haven't dug into it. The floor pans were cut off to weld the new floors pans in but they were never done. The floor pans are there and a new driver's side rocker panel. In addition. I have a complete engine and transmission from a 73 Tii and tons of spare windows/glass. The engine and transmission were in good condition when pulled according to the person I bought them from which was the same person I bought the 72 "Tii" from. I planned on rebuilding the engine anyways so I wasn't too worried about that claim though I believe him. I have the title to all vehicles and I am listing them "as is. where is" with no guarantees. I have had these vehicles sitting and I do not think I will get to them for a while. Please feel free to ask any question. Happy bidding! I have gotten a lot of questions about the location of the vehicles. The vehicles are located in Berwick. ME. |
