This 1963 model marks the first year that the Wildcat was its own series; and no longer a subseries of the Invicta line. All told. Buick produced 35. 25 Wildcats for the 1963. with just 6. 21 being convertibles. Under the big hood lies Buick's famous "nailhead" V-8 engine. It displaces 401 cubic inches. the engine is not original and is from a 1965 Buick LT code it has been upgraded with Dual four-barrel carburetor estimate pushes out a mean 340 horsepower. More important is its torque rating. which is an amazing 445-lb. ft. its peak 2. 00 RPM. This particular Buick Wildcat has undergone a throughout and comprehensive restoration. including drivetrain. electrical. and cosmetics. It has been repaint and the seats redone. the entire drivetrain is rebuilt and runs and shifts smoothly. The vehicles stance was upgraded with some 20 inch chrome rims and tires. Chrome and Trim re in nice condition. The vehicle has been shown at the good guys events in Del Mar. Ca and has won the Award of Excellence 2 years in a row. The previous owner invested over $40. 00 into this vehicle and it shows. The vehicle is equipped with Power Steering and Power Brakes and nicely constructed with Dual quad performance. Has new alternator and radiator. The car is very dependable and runs good.
