WE SHIP WORLDWIDE! PPI's WELCOME OFFERS WELCOME! Evolve Motors is pleased to present this pristine 1963 Buick Riveira! What We Know: We purchased this car from a gentleman down in Indianapolis, IN. He had a wall in his garage dedicated to the different awards and trophies that he’s won at different shows. He has owned the car for the past 6 years, where he purchased it from the 2nd owner at that time. He kept the original wheels with tires in the garage, but decided to add a set of American Racing Torque Thrust wheels with new Goodyear Eagle RSA’s for a better look and a little better ride. He also swapped out the original intake, carburetor, and exhaust manifolds for a new Edelbrock dual carb setup, and a set of new coated headers. The car has the absolute perfect tone; not too loud at idle or cruising, but smash the loud pedal and your neighbor mowing his yard will get the chills. We don’t have a lot of history on the car, but it doesn’t take long to realize that this car has been thoroughly loved and meticulously maintained it’s entire life. The Exterior: This car truly speaks for itself. Take one lap around her and see the near-perfect paint draped over lazer straight sheet metal. We were told the car was painted nearly 14 years ago, but you really couldn’t tell by looking at it. And judging by some of the awards on his wall, the car still collects hardware for best paint time and time again. The chrome looks like new, with zero rust or bubbling anywhere. The inner fenders, under the hood, trunk, and even under the car all show well, with hours of detailing apparent. This Riviera really needs to be seen to be appreciated! You won’t be disappointed. The Interior: Once again, scroll through the pictures, as we try to highlight every nuance of good, and bad. There really isn’t much for bad in this beautiful car. The blue interior was a rare color combo with the white exterior, and I don’t know why because it looks beautiful. The original interior looks stunning, with only a few minor blemishes on the dash that have been repaired. From carpet to headliner, this is a car you can be proud to pull up at a show and leave the doors open for everyone to gawk and drool over. The iconic center stack tachometer is in good working order. All gauges and lights work properly, including an auxiliary set of gauges mounted near the drivers leg on the center stack. The previous owner did install an aftermarket AM / FM radio / CD / MP3 player in the glove box, out of sight, along with a new set of speakers in the rear deck. He also installed a fire extinguisher on the passenger floor, as he did take the car on quite a few long trips. Luckily, the extinguisher has never been used. All windows crank up and down smoothly, including the “wings” on both sides and the rear passenger windows. Give us a call if there’s any questions. That’s what we’re here for! Under the Hood / Under the Car: After seeing the rest of the car, it should really come as no surprise that the “unseen’s” are just as clean as the body and interior. Pop the hood to find a meticulously detailed engine bay. Where do we begin? From inner fender to hose clamps to polished aluminum throughout, this engine bay is a work of art. The first thing that catches everyone’s attention is the obvious dual 500 cfm Edelbrock carburetors sitting on top of an aluminum Edelbrock intake manifold. After picking up the stock pieces, I can see why the upgrade was made. The originals are solid cast, and heavy as all get out! The short-tube headers fit the mold nicely, and really give this 445 Wildcat a harmonious rumble. This Buick even has the original GM bottle of alcohol in it’s bracket under the hood, specifically placed for the windshield washer fluid during freezing weather. Add a splash of the alcohol to the washer fluid reservoir, and never worry about those washers freezing up again! As we mentioned earlier, the previous owner lived in Indy and took the car to Detroit, St. Louis, Atlanta, even Florida! Needless to say, the car is ready to go, and really needs nothing but a foot on the go pedal, and some wind in her radiator. Looking at the underside of the car, you can see that this thing hasn’t seen inclement weather in the past 2 decades or more. The car is 100% rust free, and just as clean underneath as it is up top and inside. The Final Assessment: If you’re looking for a timeless piece of American automotive history, with lines that no other manufacturer has even attempted to reproduce, this is your car. If you’re looking for a classy “hotrod”, that catches attention at every corner everywhere, that can drive from your home, 3 hours away to a show, and back, with no stress… this is your car. If you’re looking for a “fixer upper” or a project vehicle that you’ll have fun tinkering with on the weekends instead of driving… this is NOT your car. Whether you’re a GM guy or not, Buick guy or not, you really have no choice but to fall in love with this ‘63 Riviera. If you agree, give us a call at Evolve Motors today! |
