Description of 1966 Buick Riviera

When your 18 year old son asks if we can get a classic car to work on together. and you are in the car business you say YES. This is exactly how we purchased this beautiful Riviera. Many things have been done to this car mechanically as the following list describes. my son is now older and it's time to move on. What we did: Pulled engine and replaced all gaskets. complete valve job (16 brand new valves). new timing chain. water pump. fuel pump. adjustable push rods. lifters and oil pump. We also removed the transmission and sent it to Jasper Engines and Transmissions for a custom rebuild which there is a 1 year warranty remaining. Complete suspension rebuild to include all new springs. ball joints. control arm bushings. track bar bushings and trailer arm bushings. New shocks. tie rods and pittman arm. When engine was out we replaced the heater core. evaporator core. ac condenser and rodded the radiator. Mechanically this car is completely sound. we drive it all the time. From the pictures you can tell that the chrome will need to be redone. it needs a new headliner. The AC has not been charged since the components have been replaced. This car is an excellent driver with the potential of being so much more. In the trunk you will find new seatbelts. antenna. manuals. tail lights. car cover and miscellaneous other items we purchased but have yet to install. Like I said my son is now older and his interests have shifted. I am grateful for the memories we have built but it is not time to pass this classic onto a new owner.
