Description of 1968 Chevrolet Camaro |
Do u love the look of the old muscle car, ut dislike the drum brakes poor suspension loose steering and lack of power options? I got u covered! My business partner and myself are letting go of the car that started our side business. What we have for sale here is a 1968 Camaro body on a 95 chassis! Body is all 1968 and all metal only fiberglass is trunk spoiler all else is all metal and I mean all metal only body filler on this body is the skim coat before paint. We are both fabricators for a living so metal work and welding is our specialty and it shows in this car. This is not your back yard hack job folks, verything on this car was done correctly with thought and planning with safety and performance being the main objective but looks were not left out of the equation! It started with a 68 body and frame and a 95 trans am with only 52000 miles ( at the time over build little over 70000 now). We braced the 95 beyond belief and removed the body everything in the center is what it is now from bumper to bumper is 95. To fit to the 68 body the chassis was stretched 7inches moving strut towers forward to center in wheel wells. Here is the good part folks we left the engine in its original position! Car is more mid engine now and balanced so well, etween that and modern suspension steering and brakes this thing handles so tight and smooth. The lt1 and 6 speed combo gives plenty of power and smooth delivery. Car needs nothing only thing we never got around to is detailing engine bay with that done u can head to the car shows with a guarantee of a trophy, nd stop by your local autocross on the way home and kick some ass! Where car was a custom build i have it titled and liscensed as a 68 firebird so taxes r a little cheapers but u can have it appraised and put collector car insurance on it!I could type forever about this car but u don't wanna read forever! lol. So ill break it down and a list and let the pictures and video finish it up. If you have any ?'s at all send em to me ill answer the asap! Thanx and god bless! Body 1968 all metal cowl hood with hood squirter ( yep u can clean the bugs off with out stopping) no rust ever front spoiler added good chrome and trim new seals on all good glass including rear defrost all lights and lenses good Chassis 95 trans am with 71k now sub frame connectors for stiffening torque arm mount moved off of trans mount and put on its own mount thicker sway bars front and back Drilled rotors 4 wheel anti lock disk drakes Lt1 engine and 6 speed trans 3:73 lsd rear Interior complete 95 interior all clean and in good shape headliner nos 68 door panels and inner rear quarter panels 68 all alpine spearkers pioneer head unit with bluetooh hands free and all that heres the best part power steering power brakes power windows power mirrors power locks air conditioning cruise control driver and passenger airbags!
