Description of 19860000 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 |
good evening, ere I have my 1986 Chevrolet military CUCV up for auction. The truck is all stock. With the exception of the lift kit and tires. The drivetrain is a 6.2 diesel, urbo 400 three speed heavy duty automatic transmission. New process 208 transfer case. The front axle is a Dana 60 with 4.56 gears. Rear axle is a General Motors 14 bolt with 456 gears and Detroit locker. The lift kit is from skyjacker. It has the drop down brackets for the sway bar and the steering correction. the tires are 37 inch Goodyear Wrangler's that were used on H1 Hummers. The wheels are 12 bolt H1 Hummer wheels. Since the wheels have a lot of offset. There is spacers in to correct for the offset. The truck runs and drives. Truck has a few dents overall is very clean. The only spot of rust is where the battery was leaking down on the inner wheel well. here is what I did to the truck. It wasn't running right turns out the fuel filter base was cracked. Replaced that with this spin on fuel filter. FM100 is on there now. Much better filter than what was there before. I believe it filters down to 3 or 5 micron. Not sure which one. while I was at it I replaced just about all the rubber fuel hose. A lot of it was cracked. Also installed a new in-line one-way valve. Hose to the injection pump is new as well. Has new intake gaskets. I cleaned up the wiring the best I could. Cleaned everything and packed it with electrical grease. Cleaned up the grounds to. Have too many projects decided to let a few go. This is going to be one of them. Truck is located in Livingston New Jersey. If you want to make a trip out and come see it let me know. Ask any questions you want. Give me a call at 732 966 six 8 four one. have a good Sunday. Thanks for looking.. I will have better pictures shortly and there will be many more Forgot to say. i already went thought the rear axle. New gear oil. drums where cut. the vent hose was extended way up incase you want ot go in some mud. |
