Up for auction is an original 1955 Chevrolet 210 Delray Club Coupe. The Delray Club Coupe were only a little over 6% of the total production numbers in 1955 making this car a rare find, nd with the rise in popularity of the “plain Jane”/moonshine style cars of yesteryear… this 55 is a very cool find indeed! This car has been a true North Georgia car, n fact, ince the early 70’s and with only 2 owners prior to that (N.C. & S.C. respectively). I have the complete owner history and some records and receipts dating back as well.

This Delray had one re-paint in 1977 and that is the paint which is still on this car today. It is in remarkable condition for a 38 year old lacquer paint… but then again, t has been garage kept and meticulously maintained during that time period. It does have some checkering in a few places but still presentable. I wouldn’t paint it. The paint on the firewall and the doorjambs and a couple other areas is still original paint. The body is original with the exception of the front fenders which were replaced in 1977 with NOS fenders. All of the body panels and gaps fit really well and the doors close with that sound. You know the one I mean… that nice solid sound! The rocker panels and the bottoms of the doors and the trunk lip under the rear bumper are all rust free. This 55 Chevy basically has a great body. The trim and bright work have been polished out and replaced where necessary (bumpers). The car was cosmetically and mechanically restored somewhat in 2010 and 2011 except for the paint.

In regards to the 8-track stereo tape player mounted under dash. It works as an 8-track, he stereo works, nd as a bonus it comes with a retro-fitted 8-trcak conversion to I-pod/phone plug for your own music from your phone.

There was a passenger side manifold crack/exhaust leak. Replaced exhaust manifold..

This 55 absolutely runs, rives, andles, rakes, nd performs great. I wouldn’t hesitate to drive the car anywhere. It is dependable and it is serviced and ready to go.
