Description of 1981 Chevrolet El Camino |
This is an all original 1981 Chevrolet El Camino Conquista. THIS TRUCK DOES NOT CURRENTLY RUN OR DRIVE. The truck is equipped with a 3.8L 229CI V6 engine and a TH350 automatic 3-speed transmission. The truck did run and drive when I purchased it in November of 2014, ut it ran very poorly. The truck is missing its carburetor, lternator, istributor cap and rotor, tarter, attery cables, attery, /C compressor, ir pump, park plugs, nd spark plug wires. I removed all of these parts to accommodate a significant price reduction. Many of the listed parts had been replaced with brand new parts, ut the engine never ran properly and it wouldn't have made sense for me to lower the price without removing the parts. The truck has a brand new master cylinder, ew brake pads, nd new brake rotors. I have owned this truck for a year. This El Camino is in fair overall condition and it needs to be restored. The current price only reflects the cost of the truck's body, ut the original engine and transmission are still intact. The engine and transmission are included with the purchase of this vehicle. I have a clean Georgia title for this El Camino! This truck has a list of issues, ome need immediate attention and others are of little importance. I'll start with the most important issues. The truck's engine needs to be either rebuilt or replaced. The truck's floor pans have some cancerous rust and the rear driver's side and rear passenger's side floor pans, s well as the front passenger's side floor pan all need to be completely replaced. The front driver's side floor pan is in great condition. There are no other known rust issues on this truck. This El Camino suffered a theft attempt before I purchased it, o the steering column is busted and it needs to be either rebuilt or replaced. The previous owner hacked off the truck's muffler. The truck has a few dents and dings over its entire body. The truck's paint is dull, aded, nd it's chipping in some areas. The truck's interior is in rough shape. The dashboard is cracked, he driver's side of the bench seat is ripped and torn, he carpet is dirty, nd the driver's side door panel has been removed but it does come with the truck. The wheels that you see in the pictures and video have been sold. This truck is currently sitting in my garage on jack stands. If you want this truck, hen you'll need a set of wheels, car hauler or tow truck, nd some cash money. The price is final and I am not willing to negotiate! This is a fifth generation El Camino and it is part of GM's 1978-1981 A-body platform. This particular El Camino was assembled in Doraville, A (identified by the "D" in the VIN number) and it was sold at a Chevrolet dealership in Conyers, A shortly thereafter. This truck would make an excellent candidate for a complete restoration or you could turn it into a cool rat rod. Not a single person has come to see this truck since I put it up for sale nine months ago. I'd like to sell this El Camino as soon as possible. I can be contacted directly via phone or text message at (770) 462-4498. This vehicle is being sold as-is with no warranty. SUGGESTIONS FOR INTERESTED BUYER: The AAA Plus Membership allows the membership holder to receive up to 100 miles of towing, n addition to other membership benefits, or only $100. A complete set of stock GM wheels can be purchased at any junk yard for less than $100. The bolt pattern for this truck is 5x4.75 or 5x120.7. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: - Are you willing to ship this truck out of state? Yes! However, will not accept payment via PayPal and the truck doesn't have any wheels on it. In order to ship this truck, would need an additional $100 to purchase a set of wheels for the truck, would need to be paid in cash (there are several options), nd you'd have to arrange and fund your own shipping. - How bad is the rust in the floor pans? Unfortunately, oth rear floor pans and the front passenger's side floor pan will need to be completely replaced. The front driver's side floor pan is in great condition. - Are you willing to negotiate the price? No! - Are you willing to trade your El Camino? No! |
