This fresh out of storage, 58 Chevy was built in Janesville, Wisconsin and remained in Wisconsin with the original owner's family up until a few months ago. Unlike other Nomads you see of the year, this car was factory ordered, with a 348 cu. in. engine which still runs whisper quiet. The car had functioning brakes up until a few weeks ago and the owner did not want to pursue the cause of the problem. Before the brake problem the car went down the road straight as an arrow at 65M.P.H with no problems for 60 + miles. The car has pretty solid floor pans but the rockers, trunk extensions, outer wheel houses, and rear quarters would need attention when doing a complete restoration. The body and metal work on the car would be described as amateur at best. The car has a couple small runs in the paint with minor dings, dents, and scratches, along with lacquer cracks showing through. The interior is in great condition considering the age and being original. The 72,936 miles on the car were said to be original by the original owner's family. The exterior lights, turn signals, dome light, and brake lights work, but the spot light and radio do not work. The glass is in good shape with only small delamination on the front vent windows, small flaw on the top of the driver window that can't be seen when it's rolled up and the glass could be left alone and reused when car is restored. The bumpers and the bright work are good cores but would need to be refurbished to bring it to the next level. With a wet sand and buff and a little elbow grease the car could be enjoyed as is and then restored at your leisure. Going Absolutely No Reserve on EBAY, bid to own the car will be sold on 7/22/16. The Car can be viewed at our dealership in Belvidere, IL or online at IQCCA.com. Feel free to give us a call at (779) 552-8766.
