Description of 1958 Chevrolet Nomad Nomad

Up for auction is a 100% original solid unmolested rare 1958 Chevrolet Nomad The Belair base trim was used only one year for Chevrolet making the handful of them left very scarce. Its has the 348/285 HP 4-V Turbo Glide. Has the rare Level Air Suspension with the bags. compressor. tank. filter. gauge. hoses and bracket. Front air bags are in place and the rear bags have been removed by the previous owner and were replaced with coils but do have the 2 bags. Buick called there air suspension cars Air Poise. Pontiac Ever Level and Caddic and Chevy Level Air. Power brakes and power steering with the pump gone. There was a spotlight originally but dont know if its correct for the car but does say Guide on the bulb. Has a windsheild squirter. Along with the deluxe interior is a factory under dash switch for the rear speaker but the radio is missing. Has a Chevy tissue dispenser. All doors and hood and rear glass work as they should except the tailgate I believe is locked. Didnt want to force anything so dont know whats in the spare tire compartment. There is plastic from the factory that still remains on the visors and upper rear seat. Heater core has been robbed along with the front fender spears and taillights throughout the years. It looks like originally there wer 3 spears on the front center of hood. Code reads: Style58-1893 Body S-947 Trim828 EZ1CP Paint 962-D The body shows its 47 years of age with the rust being over the rear fender wells and the drivers side rear quarter. The drivers side rear quarter is fine inside and out. The spare tire well underneath has a hole in it not bad. The rockers and frame are excellent and the front passengers side floor pan is real bad. The rear passengers side floor pan is weak. The front fenders are banged up some and could use another front clip which I have if a another 58 fordoor is needed for more money. It also has rust coming on the upper cab on the passengers side. Please view all pics. I havent tried to turn the motor over but it is full of oil and when I got it there was a rag stuffed down the 4 barrel. Ive tried to describe the car as best as I can and it does need a full restoration but would be the ultimate cool and rare ride. Just dont have time in my life to do all the projects Id like. Have clean clear title in my name in hand. 500. 00 deposit required immediately. If your truely interested in this cool Nomad dont wait until the end to bid for it is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early. Please do not bid if you dont have the money to buy. If there are any questions u may email or call 605-765-2394I do have some additional pics if needed. Shipping will be up to the buyer. I can help load. Good luck bidding. On Feb-01-15 at 20:07:31 PST. seller added the following information: Ive had many calls as of 30 minutes into this auction and Ive been told that the 348 is a 250 horse and not a 285. Ive also have been told that the trailing arm in the back is more than likely gone being how its been converted to coils. I also was told that the compressor is laying on the wrong side. That is way it was laying in the car when I bought it. Im a Ford man and dont have much intelect on the air suspensions of Chevrolet. Ive also have been told that air level suspensions sell alone for over 10. 00. I didnt mention that this car was bought new in my county from a farmer at Frost Chevrolet Hoven South Dakota and the population there is around 940 persons so it never seen a big city with salt and crap they put down. He had 9 children and hauled them back and forth to school just like my parents with my 8 siblings when we were hauled around first in a brown and white 56 chevy wagon and then in a 62 multi window VW bus and then in a 1965 Chevy Belair wagon to the outdoor movies. It all brings back such good memories of a simpler time.
