Description of 1986 Chevrolet Blazer |
1986 Chevrolet Blazer K5 CUCV I have had this vehicle since 2010. Besides the Georgia National Guard and the dealership I purchased it from, I am the only owner of the vehicle. I got the vehicle with under 10,000 miles on it. It now has right at 30,000 miles. I have been using this vehicle as my daily driver for the past 7 years, so it runs well. With that being said, there are a few small common issues that I will list up front (This list contains nothing that is out of the ordinary for these trucks specifically or 30 year old vehicles in general...the vehicle runs great regardless of these). The speedometer needle is broken and free spins at all times. The fuel gauge is stuck. The power steering pump is weak. The hydraulic booster needs to be replaced. The brakes can be a little touchy until they are warm. There is a very slow oil leak. It is missing the back window crank (can still roll window up and down). Other than that there are no problems under the hood. The transmission was rebuilt about 3 years ago by Mad Dog Transmissions and has received nothing except Royal Purple trans fluid since being rebuilt. The starter is new. The front end has been rebuilt. New Warn manual locking hubs. The 4WD works great. This truck was never put in deep mud, or beaten up. The interior has been kept clean/good condition. The only serious rust spot is right inside the driver side door on the floor. The body has been kept in great shape. Very few dents, scratches, etc. The two batteries have been converted to a 12V system from the military standard 24V system. New glow plugs installed in 2016. New windshield wipers. The tires are 33" BFG KM2's with about 50% tread left. There is a working aftermarket radio (with aux cord) installed with 2 6x9s in the doors and another speaker wired to the back. The 6x9 in the driver side door needs to be rewired. The military blackout lights work! I take the top off a few times a year and it comes off/on easily with no leaking. Comes with original spare wheel and tire. PayPal is accepted. $1000 deposit, the rest at pick up (buyer is responsible for pick up)If you have any questions text me at 404-285-0200 |
