Description of 1966 Chevrolet Corvair Monza

Boy do I have a car for you. Hate to see her go but we are downsizing and going full time Rving. So time to let someone else enjoy her. I purchased this 1966 in 2002 it was previously from LA where it was born. Vin #is 100251. This means it was built the first week of production. It has spent it's life in LA and Tampa. Fl. It has been totally rebuilt from top to bottom. Engine. transmission. rear end. When I got it. the drive train was all 110. four speed 1965. with a 356 rear end. I put factory air/with 2 8 inch fans to keep it cool at idle. They only come on with the compressor. I replaced all the glass with factory tinted. The car is a Monza with a Corsa dash. All gauges work. Truck light/engine light. 4way flashers. Trunk and engine compartment splatter painted. then clear coated. Clear coated with the same clear coat that is on the red paint. When I put on the wire spinners they were NOS. Radio works as does everything else. No rust never any rust. Car was stripped to bare metal. primed and then base coat clear coated. The color red is 1996 Miata red. Beautiful red. It has 14 inch tires. 195/14. Rampside wheels. As you can see. dual master cylinder. All brakes redone as well as brake lines. fluid replaced with silicone. Bottom of car is clean as a pin. Glass blue dots used on wide band early 66 taillights. If you have a question. Yes it's been replaced or repaired. I have over 20. 00 dollars invested in just parts all my labor. priceless. (free) Take a good hard look at this trophy winner. Make me an offer. I would like this car to go to someone who will take as good as care as I have. Don't get me wrong. I don't expect to get back what I spent. But I had a lot of fun doing it. And I did a great job restoring my Corvairs. I had 4 Corvairs. Sold one already . Getting too old to play with them anymore and I'm retiring to the road to finally see our country.
