Description of 1970 Chevrolet C-10

1970 C10 Frame off with a built 6.0 Lq9 LS2, a built 4l60e, narrowed/mini-tubbed rear with less than 100 miles on the build

We started out with a rust free body and frame. Everything was removed from the chassis, then the chassis was detailed and painted, along with the underside of the body then reinstalled back onto the chassis. We rebuilt a 6.0 lq9 and a 4l60e, added several upgrades, then got it moving with a narrowed Ford rear end with all new internals.

SPECIFICS

Drive Train:
Built 6.0 LQ9 LS

Block and heads were magnafluxed and cylinder walls were honed / heads were reassembled with upgrades

New main, rod, cam bearings and piston rings were installed

Big Mutha-Thumpr Cam, titanium double springs, retainers, timing chain, push rods, lifters, trunion upgrade (all new from Comp Cams)

Speedmaster eight stack EFI system

Built 4l60e trans with wide band, corvette servo, 3200 stall converter, and shift kit

Engine is controlled by an XFI Sportsman ecu from F.A.S.T. with harness

Transmission is controlled by EZ TCU from F.A.S.T.

Narrowed 2008 8.8 Ford Mustang GT rear axle housing

New Moser axles, new 411 gear and locker with all new bearings

Cooling system:

Griffin four core aluminum radiator with custom 12 inch and 10 inch electric fans operated by the computer. The 12 inch fan is triggered at 180° while the 10 inch fan is strategically located opposite side of the a/c condenser and is designed to come on when the a/c is turned on.

Chassis and Suspension:

Mini-tubbed rear wheel wells to fit a 20 x 12.5 wheel and a 345.30 tire (outside fender lip sits about 4 inches below the top of the wheel when lowered all the way)

We also custom built the inner front wheel wells to fit a 315.30 tire on an 18 x 11 wheel (lower A arms sit directly on the ground when lowered all the way)

The inside of the bed was flawlessly raised 4 inches to ensure lower ride height ability & great stance when parked and lowered

Custom C-notched frame
CPP disc brakes on front and rear all new
All new suspension bushings and steering linkage with CPP drop spindles
Ride-Tech Air Ride Technologies "AIRPOD" suspension with digital programmable hand-held controller which controls each corner separately and has three programable presets
New QA1 shocks at all four corners

As seen in the pictures, the bottom of the truck is as clean as the outside, engine bay, and interior.

Body:

The patina look is a professionally designed and installed vinyl 3M wrap over satin black paint and white cab
Every piece of exterior trim is new. Bumpers, body moldings, door handles, mirrors, drip rails, light lenses, grille and grille surround.

Truxedo lopro QT tonneau cover. The inside of the bed is coated and looks very nice
Interior:
The interior is completely new Cheyenne style. Black and white hounds tooth seat, new dash pad, new door panels, new carpet, new headliner and trim, custom steering wheel, Lokar floor shifter, custom autosound stereo.

Complete new air conditioning system that blows ice cold / heat is hot

All paint on the interior of the truck, engine bay, and tailgate have been painted gloss black.

All gauges work as they should.

Fuel system:

The fuel is delivered to the eight stack efi by way of a relocated tank in the rear of the truck. All lines are hidden well and professionally installed. The in-tank fuel pump is a new 2012 SS Camaro pump.

Exhaust:

We used chrome shorty headers so the exhaust would not hang down below the frame. From the collectors, we ran full 3 inch dual exhaust with Pypes (straight through) mufflers all the way until it dumps downward just in front of the rear axle. The entire system is tucked close to the underside of the body so it cannot be seen unless you are under the truck.

Wheels and tires:

New Forgeline GA3C Brushed outers and smoke inners 18x11 front 20x12.5 rear (bolt pattern 5 x 4.75)

New Michelins PS2 315.30.18 front Pilot 345.30.20 rear (front and rear sit nicely inside the wheel wells)

I also have an additional set of torque Thrust II wheels and tires that can be purchased, or switched out onto the truck to reduce the purchase price considerably...see pics

Several custom touches were integrated during the build, such as the front inner fenders to make room for the massive 315.30 tires on 11 inch wheels and the narrowed and mini tubbed back end making room for the 345.30's on a 12.5 x20 wheel. The gas fill tube is tucked away behind the driver's side rear tail light and swings open to fill. The two-piece Mustang driveshaft was creatively engineered to ride at any height without vibration. The battery tray is hidden out of sight under the passenger's front wheel well with easy access to remote located terminals. All wiring is hidden so it does not take away from the engine bay. An additional 4 x 20" frame is welded on top of the existing frame above the c-notch to ensure extra frame support which achieves the lower stance (thus bed being raised 4 inches).

The only miles the truck has since the build is on a dyno for break in, and driving for tuning purposes. I also have the 454 (small cam) and a built th400 trans that I took out of the truck (less than 10k miles) if you need either one of those goodies for a small additional cost.

This truck rides and drives absolutely amazing, has plenty of power and looks astounding!

This truck is currently insured for $50,000 but there is well over $75,000 in the truck.

The body, paint, frame work, and wrap was completed by Titan Truck Equipment in Spokane WA, the drive train and custom touches were completed at Arrasmith Custom Automotive here in Middle TN.

Thank you for looking over the truck. Steve 615.714.0483
