Description of 1951 Chevrolet Other |
Original Convertible Styleline Deluxeruns and drives great. Shop rebuilt 305 v8 small block chevy out of a 79 el camino new edelbrock carb 700r4 automatic. Lots of new partsLots of new chrome, new top, clipped front end from a 79 el Camino. Power steering, power brakes, open driveline, Bluetooth radio, electric wiper motor, drop spindles, coil over adjustable ladder bar rear suspension. New floorboards. Complete new 12v wiring. Xenon headlights, loaker shifter. Blue glass dot tail lights. El camino rear end, lokar shifter, classic instruments gauges. Clean title. Needs a lot of body work, new glass, and some finishing up to take it to the next level or just drive and enjoy it like it is. That's what I have been doing and it's a lot of fun. Drive it while you fix it up.The bottoms of both doors are gone and the inner part of the trunk where the seal goes is rotted out. Needs a new trunk lid it's rotted around the bottom edge and maybe new doors would be easier then replacing the bottoms. The rear seat needs to be made and interior finished in the rear and new door panels. Passenger rear fender and quarter have rot. Both inner and outer rockers on both sides have been replaced and the floorboards have been replaced. Car has been painted in a hot rod flat cream that matches the original color very closely. Sort of looks like a primer but it is a single stage urethane. Mostly to keep it from getting worse but it still needs a lot of body work if you are looking to restore it. Still needs a bit of work but most of the hard stuff is done already. I spent more then a year straight working on it and cut up a whole other car to get this car in the shape it is in now. When was the last time you seen one driving down the road? I have enjoyed this car, it gets thumbs ups and smiles wherever it goes. I have to many cars this one needs a new home. |
