In ’57 they gave the Bel Air an all new look and it wasn’t instantly loved. The same holds true for today with it being one of the most sought after and iconic classic cars. The one we have for you has underwent a professional 5 year resto. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior. interior. and Heartbeat of the Chevy. but first we would like to tell you a little about us. Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned. operated. and own our entire inventory. no consignments. and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 50 to 60 cars at all times. We don’t have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So. that’s how we can sell for less than other dealers. It was all pulled from the frame and taken apart. What metal work was needed was done and hours of blocking was done to ensure a laser straight body. All the panels were then fitted. Everything was covered in the Cascade Green Paint that has many coats of clear that have been buffed and polished to a deep rich shine that is slick to the touch and is set off by the new White Top with new Rea Glass. It’s accented by the dual antennas. side mirrors. the continental kit. and of course lets not forget the fender skirts. All the stainless was cleaned. polished. and what didn’t look like new was replaced. The same eye for detail went into all the chrome with the bumpers being replaced. Also. it has all new weather stripping as well as window seals. Next. we will take a look at the interior of the convertible. Everything on the inside is as clean as a pin. It’s done in the correct style with a bench seat. And is done in the Two Tone Turquoise and White with the matching door panels. The dash all looks stock with the exception of the after market radio and the vintage Air Controls. Also. it has the white Boot to Match and give it a killer look with the top down. Finally. we will take a look at the heartbeat of the Chevy. Under the hood is where you will find the upgrades. It has a 350 V8 with a polished intake. valve covers. and breather. When they added Power Brakes they used a chrome booster. It has coated headers with dual exhaust and stock mufflers. The trans is a 350 Turbo with a 10 Bolt Rear End. It has disc brakes up front and drums in the rear. Also it comes with Power Steering and Vintage AC. When you look at the bottom of this ’57 it looks as it should with new pans. All the frame braces look great as they should. The frame was cleaned and painted and it has all new brake and fuel lines with a new tank.
