Description of 1964 Chevrolet C-10 K20 Panel |
1964 Chevrolet Panel K20 (Military spec) Factory K20 3/4 ton, 4x4 4-speed, 2-speed transfer case. One of very few factory 4x4 3/4-ton built for the US Air Force and used as a radio/recon vehicle. Only around 105 k1405 Panels were built per year and estimated that only 27 to this spec. It's been sitting in the Southern California desert since 1990 building this awesome patina from the original olive green. The family who owned it (Since 1979, they purchased it from a guy that bought it at military surplus auction) planned to build it up as an off-roader. Having kids got in the way and they got as far as the front driver fender before relegating it to use as a wood storage container. I pulled it down off the mountain, cleaned it out and put a new battery on it and it turned over freely. It is a spectacular restoration candidate that would make a great over-lander or just bring it perfectly back to its military bad-assery. It has rust in the fenders and corners of the doors, rockers are good. The floor is solid except on the drivers edge there are some pinholes. Glass is all good, frame is good, grill guard is super-rare and serviceable and the wood is in great shape. Restored to military spec this truck will easily bring $75K Please contact me with any questions. I am not a dealer but can help with shipping anywhere in the world. And please let me know if I missed anything cool about it... It's amazingly cool. |
