1973 Chevrolet C-20 Camper Special Custom Deluxe dry western survivor barn find

Exterior: Original factory Lime paint with a few touch ups to the white panel. Paint is a bit faded, I didn't try buffing it, I like the survivor patina look. Paint on top of box rails peeled in spots from camper tape. Straight truck with no major dings or dents. Inside of box is mint as would be expected on a truck that had a camper. Exterior chrome is in very good condition with no pitting. Extremely dry truck, I'd say 98 percent rust free. A couple of small spots at bottoms of fenders behind front wheels, they are hard to see but look closely at Photobucket pics linked below with 100 close up detail pics. Original owner had minor rust over rear wheels repaired back in the 90s. Underside looks good with only minor surface rust, and of course we don't see frame rot here out west. I don't believe the truck has ever seen salt. Presents well and draws a crowd wherever you stop. Just an honest survivor to use as is or take to the next level.

Interior: Original in decent driver condition. Cracks in dash pad and original seat upholstery under the covers. Original floor mat in good condition. Gauges work except oil pressure. Lights(except the add-on lights), heater, wipers, stock horn all working. Even the big truck air horn works if you fill the tank with air. Interior is clean with no rodents or smells. Door weatherstrips coming loose, need replaced or re-glued. Radio non-op. Original Safety-float glass in good condition but original windshield has a crack in passenger lower corner. Passenger side window doesn't roll down well, needs lubrication.

Mechanical: Starts, runs, and drives out well, feels like a low mile truck. Original 350-4V pulls strong with RV cam and headers. No noticeable smoke or noises. Healthy dual exhaust note, see driving videos. 4.10 gears make for a fun street driver, but it's winding pretty high at modern interstate speeds. No noticeable leaks or stains on garage floor overnight. Both fuel tanks work, fuel gauge works on main tank, auxiliary tank isn't wired to gauge. Main tank rubber filler neck leaks, they are reproduced at about $20. Tires have good tread but are older. I will include the original steel wheels if desired, I don't have the hubcaps. Most of the add-on lights not currently working. The underhood outlet is 12v and works. Keep in mind that it is an older rig and will need further sorting. If you live in a state with very strict vehicle inspections, they will probably find something for you to fix, so expect that.

Location/Shipping: Pickup will be in Helena, MT 59602, which is near the junction of Interstate 15 and Interstate 90. Transportation is at the expense and arrangement of the BUYER, but I will work with your transporter for loading, meet up, etc. Please research transportation options before purchasing. I will store the truck outside indefinitely free of charge if transport issues arise from the Covid situation. Once sold, I will cancel my insurance, so all liability for damages are the responsibility of the purchaser.

Payment:Winning bidder must contactme within 24 hours of auction end and make arrangements for payment at that time. A $500 non-refundable deposit is due immediately at auction end. The remainder is due within 3 days of auction end. If no contact is made within 24 hoursI reserve the right to re-list the vehicle, sell it to the next high bidder, or sell it otherwise. Payment by verifiable funds such as a WIRE TRANSFER or CASH in person before pick up, whichever is first.
