Description of 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS Convertible |
This 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS convertible is an ultra-clean frame-off restoration classic. And while they made sure to invest in the vintage style, they also added the right features you really want, like upgraded V8 power, four-on-the-floor, and four-wheel disc brakes. So it's time to go over all the details of a restored classic that has all the right driver's touches. The first thing that you'll notice about this convertible is the paint. The red is a great color for Camaro, but this one has received a modern professional application to give it the kind of gloss and shine the factory never could. This is what you get when investing in a quality frame-off restoration that was completed only a few years ago. The slick paint really highlights the curves of the Camaro's sheetmetal every time the sunlight shines on this sunshine-friendly drop-top. And this one looks good even with the roof in place, because the quality black folding top coordinates nicely with the deep chin spoiler and the iconic RS hidden headlight front end. And because the trim tag has a 3L, this is a real-deal Rally Sport. The details on this are excellent, so the trim is bright, the doors shut solid, the bumpers have terrific chrome, and the headlight doors open smoothly. And while all this contributes to an awesome classic look, there have also been some speedy-style upgrades. The super-scoop cowl hood and bright 15-inch Cragar SS wheels (with extra meaty rear tires) give this a well-done performance attitude. If you like the look of the black roof against the red paint, then you'll love opening this convertible up to the world to reveal the all-black interior. The deep color on the bucket seats, door panels, and dash are more reminders of the quality investments that have gone into this Camaro. This really has a nice vintage style, right down to details, like the working clock, correct trunk mat, and a factory AM radio that's still on display. But the classic pieces you'll really love the most are also the ones that make this such a nice driver's machine. This has a center console with Hurst floor shifter, and ahead of that are the correct auxiliary readouts. There's also a grippy RS steering wheel with power steering, and it gives you a nice view of the large speedo and tach. A 327 cubic-inch V8 is great to have when you love the history of a first-gen Camaro. But you can also instantly see there's much more going on here. The sair topper, matching Chevrolet valve covers, and overall extra-tidy presentation tell you there was a nice investment here during the restoration. This has been upgraded with go-fast goodies like a Holley four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake, and Dynatech long tube headers that add power while contributing to the rumble of the X-pipe dual exhaust. Besides just having a wicked growl, it can keep cool while running hard thanks to an aluminum radiator w/electric fans. You get to make the most of this upgraded V8 with the control of the four-speed manual transmission. Plus, you've been upgraded to the superior stopping power of four-wheel power disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors. The sale comes complete with the owner's manual, title documentation, restoration photos, and build receipts documenting thousands $$$$ invested during the full restoration. This is the fresh, sleek, and powerful Camaro RS drop-top of your dreams, so don't let it end up in someone else's garage. Call today!!! |
