Description of 1959 Chevrolet Apache deluxe |
This 1959 Chevrolet Apache is a modified vehicle with updates to the exterior and drivetrain. The owner has had it for 2 years. The vehicle is drivable and is not regularly driven. Vehicle Details This 1959 Apache big back window deluxe cab shortbed looks much better in person. Pictures don't do it justice. I purchased this pickup a little over 2 years ago. The bodywork was already done as was the rust repairs. It wasn't perfect, but was good enough for the patina paint job that's on it. It was in grey epoxy primer when I purchased it. The prior owner put a 71 Camara front frame clip on it, with disc brakes and power steering. I put big block coil springs in the front, so that the tires don't rub. They also "C" notched the rear frame rail and boxed that area in with 1/4 steal. It has a nice running 350 engine, with a good shifting 700r automatic transmission. I put a new gas tank under the bed. We also installed a new wiring harness throughout the pickup. All lights work. There is NO A/C, we live in Oregon and don't need it. We used electricity to burn the design in the white oak wood bed. The tires are OK, but new ones would probably be a good thing. On the inside of the bed where it sits on top of the wood, there are some holes from rust. They aren't bad and add to the patina look. I can send pictures. New window rubers throughout. Windows roll up and down nicely. I have video of it running down the road. It's a bit squirrely Title is clean and in my name. |
