1967 Datsun 1600 roadster

and pics, nd I find it hard to believe people even bid on some cars .
UP FOR AUCTION: this is what we know about the car below.
SUPER LOW FAIR RESERVE !!!
BRIEF DESCRIPTION: we got the car basically how you see it... its had some upgrades
done to the interior but comes with the OE parts too.
The paint is a 20 footer, he paint was recently buffed out for the simple fact that
it had a rough finish and when you ran your hand over it before, t felt like months
of neglect. At least now its smooth to touch, ooks nicer anyways and may last a
little longer for the next person so they dont need a paint job right away.
It was parked for a few months, o the gas is starting to smell old, ut it
does start and run fine. Ive been taking it out once a week driving it around my
neighborhood. 1 of the most desireable yrs too, maller windshield a best body lines.
Its really fun to drive and is much faster then I expected to be honest. Its not going to
win any awards at the next car show, ut it ALWAYS draws a crowd around it when I
take it to local events or even up to the store, eople want to come up and talk to me
about it. Its funny how many people dont know that Datsun made a car like this back
in the 60s.
There is a good chance this car may be sent back to JAPAN and if you need help
getting it back there, e can at least help get it to the shipping docks in Long Beach
or LA CALIF area. for a fair price. Getting it across the pond is up to the Winner if
thats where its going.
DRIVETRAIN:
the best I can tell it could be the original drivetrain, posted pics below of the
engine etc and #s. Motor runs well and sounds good for a daily driver. The only
thing it does that bugs me the most is when you shut it off it likes to run on or
diesel, o stop it I pull the choke out and it stops, ut it shouldnt be doing it of
course. The clutch and transmission feel good too. Tires are in really nice shape
too. When its cold, fter a few cranks it starts up like most carburated cars, ut
after it warms up a few minutes its ready to drive. W/o a doubt its cold blooded.
Once warmed up a little, t starts up right away like its suppose to.
INTERIOR:
the original color looks to have been blue and its not all the bad for a daily driver
the last owner decided to install a set of brand new AUTOMETER GAUGES so the
best I can tell he made his own bezel and installed new units. The gauges alone cost
over $500 just in parts. It looks good, nd they all seem to be functional too.
ALL OF THE ORIGINAL GAUGES will come with the car in the trunk in a box.
The convertible top isnt in too bad of shape, ut one of the latches is missing a part
so I cant secure one side. Doesnt matter too much because the tops down 90% of
the time while driving around. Also this car comes with a pretty rare porthole window
fiberglass top. The original speedo just almost 57k miles on it, hich could be close
to the original miles on the car. Cant say for sure.

EXTERIOR: the car looks to
This is what we call a TYPICAL CA / ARIZONA DESERT CAR !! / Survivor car
The body is in really nice shape, o signs of any major damage in its
past and for a car this old, hats pretty rare. Paint, lder paint job thats
not that great, ut a 20 footer at best. Looks better in pics probably then
in person. Overall its a fun little non restored older Datsun.
Chrome in nice shape little to no evidence of rust of eastcoast style pitting.
All the glass looks to be good too and possibly all original.
UNDER the car I also see no signs of any previous major accidents or damage..
floorboards look great and the car is as solid as you can probably get for
a car this old. CA and AZ has been good to this car.
IN the trunk, ome surface rust and paint bubbles there, ut all pretty
minor. Spare and jack accounted for. (SEE PICS !)
SUSPENSION: basically bone stock suspension the best I can tell
Im sure most of the bushings are dry out, ut being a minimal rust car
it would come apart easier then a rust bucket and making the repairs
and restoration in its future again, ore attractive. Car handles great
and tires also in pretty good shape.Car rides smoother then I expected
to e honest but no weird noises for an older car.

If you see other auctions are not showing areas under their cars,
who really knows what sort of shape its in. Dont find out
the hard and $$ way. At least our auctions show as much
as possible to potential buyers and bidders. Its amazing to
see other auctions with small dark pics, cant imagine trying
to bid on a car without seeing pics like we do in our auctions. it may take a full minute for them all to load ifyou have a
slow connection, o be patient AND looks for the extra scroll
bar on the right side.
Az gets maybe 12" a yr of rain and Az very dry climate.
