Description of 1966 Dodge Coronet 500 |
What we have here is a 1966 Dodge Coronet 500 that is as nice a driver as I have seen in a while. The car has been owned by the same family. (father. son) for the past 35 years and garage kept. Wife said she used to take the kids to school in it and they would hide in the floor board because they were embarrassed of it. It has power brakes. power steering. that work nicely and as they should. All gauges. lights work as they should. It has an aftermarket radio but I have the original and it will go with the car. The interior is near perfect with no tears in the seats. Dash is exceptional. Headliner is good to excellent. door panels good to excellent. All chrome and aluminum is in good shape some could use some black touch up paint in recessed areas but do not look bad as they are. The paint is 3 years old and although not a show paint job is nice (I was told it recently won a best in class at a car show). The body lines are straight as an arrow. The paint scheme with the black stripe on hood and trunk really make this one pop. It has the original wheel well opening covers in trunk pictured. No rust on this car that can be seen and the trunk and floor pans are solid. IT has dual exhaust and glass pack mufflers and sounds great with a deep rumble but not too loud. The engine runs like a top with no issues. It does not smoke tick rattle in any way and does not even drip oil or tranny fluid. I was told it has a small cam in it but I cannot confirm but it runs strong none the less. A little chrome sets the engine off and it looks very clean under the hood. It has a posi-trac rear end 4:73. Nice rally wheels and beauty rings and centers that are factory and a nice set of like new Kelly Charger tires all around. You can't go wrong with this one. It would cost 20-25k just to restore a fixer upper to this condition. I am not a dealer just buy. play sell. Love those old Mopars:-)Mike 3364074963On Dec-07-14 at 04:23:33 PST. seller added the following information: Please do not bid if you have less than 10 positive feedbacks within the last year. I will consider taking your bid if you call me and talk to me prior to bidding. A good auction is made up of quality bidders/buyers and my experience with 0 feedback has not been positive. Thank you.
