Description of 1964 Dodge Polara |
!!!!!!STOP!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!READ THIS ENTIRE AD BEFORE BIDDING!!!!!!!!!!DISCLAIMER; THIS IS A HOT ROD AND A CRUISER WITH DRAG CAR POTENTIAL. IT IS NOT A SHOW CAR. IT IS A PROJECT. If you don't have at least 3x what I'm asking in the project fund. it will not be a show car. IT'S A CLEAN TITLED. NEARLY COMPLETE. PRETTY STRAIGHT. PRETTY SOLID. AND PRETTY RARE MOPAR THAT RUNS. DRIVES. STOPS. AND STEERS WELL. STAYS COOL. AND GETS ME TO WORK EVERYDAY. I don't want to sell this car to someone who's going to be frustrated with the car or pissed at me. I just want to get some of my money and none of my labor back out of it. This has been my dream car forever. I hate selling it. but life isn't going to let me finish it. I've done everything right so far as I built it to keep it. It is structurally sound. No cowl or torsion bar mount issues! I've taken care of all the big stuff. All issues are cosmetic only. New full pans welded in properly. seam sealed. painted with POR-15. and undercoated by me. a trained welder. IT NEEDS BODYWORK. Quarters have some minor rust. If you want to get rid of the fuel cell. you'll have to put a trunk pan in it. I put a flat piece in. but the recess that the tank sits against was cut out. Superstock e-body leafsprings. Flanged 8 3/4 rear axle from a 65 coronet (no more bolt on hubs). Engine compartment is done. Freshly rebuilt '78 R. V. 440 with a mild cam (less than 1000 miles. Rings. bearings. gaskets. cam. lifters. timing chain. oil pump. freeze plugs. etc. ). Pertronix igniter. and 727 pushbutton Torqueflite. Aluminum radiator. upholstery is mostly done. Dynamat. factory sound deadener. new carpet. headliner. steering wheel. tires. brakes. I have the fender trim missing in the pic. Upgraded to a saginaw steering pump. Hopefully I can reclaim this fraction of my investment (not the hundreds of hours I have into it). Drive this thing while you finish it. Registered and titled in Florida. in my name. On Jan-30-15 at 05:28:38 PST. seller added the following information:To answer a few questions; Windshield is cracked and should be replaced. I have the passengers door panel. It's rough but I have the material to redo it as well as some material and pleat backing to do the front seat backs. Rear axle is a 741 carrier with about a 2. 73. I have a bunch of extra stuff in the trunk. Heat's rigged to stay on defrost right now as I haven't had time to mess with the vacuum lines that run it. The next things on the list were to align it. replace the front 2 feet of the exhaust. (someone's poor welds). Then I wanted to remove the fuel cell. put a center pan in it. and a stock tank.
