Description of 1972 Dodge Charger SE |
Recently purchased another car so unfortunately this one has to go. It's an original, numbers matching, CA clean car with no history of body work other than a decent repaint in its original color before I bought it 3 years ago. All original sheet metal--very straight car. Original CA license plate included in sale. Not the typical rust bucket as the photos show (very slight spot starting at left rear window exterior chrome in bottom corner--no rust in rear window area inside trunk or in trunk as these are known). No bondo--all metal! Two months ago was driven from Dallas to Chicago and back to Dallas (2k miles) with no problems. Original interior in great condition for its age as the pictures show. Within the last year, the following has been done:*727 transmission professionally rebuilt*New headliner and vinyl top *Radio rebuilt and updated internally, maintaining OE case and appearance, with Aux. input and BT capability added via hidden port under dash*Brand new Cooper Cobra tires installed 2 weeks ago*New A/C compressor, drier, and expansion valve*New Distributor with Pertronix III Electronic Ignition*New alternator, battery, & voltage regulator *New original equipment 2-barrel carburetor *Magnaflow exhaust*New OE carburetor Short video of the car driving: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vhAOhmTCcxg Other options include: front power disc brakes & power steering; hide-away headlights; factory A/C; fender turn signals; 150 mph speedo; R side mirror. Aside from the wheels and slightly meaner exhaust note, this car is bone stock. This car sports its original carpet, seats, and door panels (all in great shape for age with one minor split on the top of the rear seat back) This is not a car that has been "hacked" for its life, rather it's a well-preserved and maintained example of what Mopar produced in 1972. The car is a head turner for sure but unfortunately I need the garage space! Additional photos available upon request. Send a message with any questions or I can give you my cell phone number if you'd prefer to discuss. International buyers welcome. |
