Description of 1954 Dodge D100

This 1954 Dodge Show, Street Rod Truck was bought by my friend a couple yrs ago. He purchased the truck from the builder, had it shipped to his residence and unloaded into his garage. After the purchase and awaitnig the shipment he became terminally ill.He never got to drive and enjoy the truck he bought. It sat in his garage covered and started every now and then to keep the truck in running condition by his brother. My friend passed away last fall.
His widow asked me if I could help her sell the Truck, and of course I said yes.
Leave me give you a little background about meI own and operate a custom building Motorcycle shop in Ohio. Previously I owned a Auto restoration shop in Pennsylvania. I've built numerous Street Rods and performed Restorations on classic cars and trucks. Enought said about me and my experience and mechanical knowledge.
I had checked this truck out after delivery and was quite impressed with the quality of workmanship applied to the build. The Paint and body work done to the truck is of professional show quality. I found no flaws in any of the work. The tilt fron clip works flawlessly also do the butterfly hood openings. The front clip while closed is secured by rubber straps that are thick and work perfectly. I was expecting some type of hood wobble while I was drivng the truck, but absolutely no movement. And it also has webbing trim where the front clip rests as to do no paint and finsh damage. Very well done.
The mechanical work performed also impressed me. From the shortening of the frame on the later model truck to the power train being completely rebuilt. Engine, Automatic Transmission, and Rear Differential. Brake line routing, electrical and of course the hydralic truck bed. Also the rear suspension was changed out from leaf string to coil overs and 4 link, and the front factory coil springs also changed out to coil overs. The truck rides superb.I drove the truck while I was there and its performance was on point. Engine, transmission shifting worked flawlessly. The ride and comfort were also on point. Comfortable but yet a good solid rinding truck.
Well now that I went into detail on the truck and explained the build. I'm positive you can't build a truck of this caliber and quality at todays prices and get what this truck has to offer. To do this intence of a build today you would have at least $60-70K invested and hope your getting a good quality build.
