Description of 1958 Edsel Pacer |
Lowered the reserve to $1500. This auction is for TWO 1958 Edsel Pacer four door hardtops. I bought these earlier this year with plans to restore the first one in the pictures (the turquoise one). The turquoise one has a clear title in my name the orange one does not, I did not receive a title for that one when I purchased them. The orange one is the parts car for the other so I didn't pursue a title for it. The turquoise one is the more highly optioned car and is also more solid. The only rust I have found is in the driver rear floor board, it is a few inches across but they sell patch panels for it. Overall it is a solid car and between the two there is a full set of parts. The turquoise one does have power steering and power brakes, the orange one just has power steering. Other than a general cleanup I have not been able to do any work to either of them so I cannot tell you how sound any of the mechanical bits are, I know neither one have been on the road in many years so it will be a project. Both rear windows are solid which is good since that part is hard to find, the other windows show wear or cracks but they are all readily available. The build tag breakdown isBody- Pacer 4 door hardtopColor- Turquoise, Jet Black, Frost whiteTrim- White vinyl Turquoise clothDate- 10th of OctoberTrans- Auto Push ButtonAxle- 2.91 I will not ship them, if you need to have them shipped, you should know neither one has tires that hold air. I loaded them onto my trailer that way and had no problems unloading them and moving them around, but I know a shipping company wont touch them as they sit, if you are willing to have tires put on them, I will take it to a tire shop but that will come at extra cost. In reality I'm losing money on these but I don't have to time to work on them and I have other priorities right now, my loss is your gain the reserve is set at $2000, that's what I gave for them so by the time I pay all of the fees I will probably lose money, if they stall at the reserve. Also, I may lift the reserve depending on bidding so bid away because I want them gone. |
