Description of 1958 Edsel Pacer

This is a 1958 Edsel Pacer with a red/white exterior and a red/white interior. The odometer shows 56K. Normally, I would say it could be 156K or 256K, but this one appears to still have the original factory spark plug wires on it. Those don't typically last very long before being replaced, so I tend to believe the mileage is actual.

The paint is mostly original, so nothing is hidden. You can easily see the sheet metal, floors, trunk, etc. That's the way to buy them and this one is solid! Obviously, both of the front fenders have been replaced, probably due to a fender bender in the past. If so, then it couldn't have been too bad as the hood is fine. It will need a little work on the lower driver fender, possibly the rocker, and the lower front driver quarter. The rear floor pans have already been replaced. The rest of the car looks great. I do have the front fender trim pieces and a couple of boxes full of additional parts.

The interior will need to be replaced, along with the padded dash, top, and the well.

The running gear seems to be in good shape. It has the 361CI 4bbl FE engine rated at 303HP and 400 foot pounds of torque (E400). It starts right up, idles fine, and doesn't appear to smoke. The TeleTouch Shifter in the middle of the steering wheel even works! The automatic transmission goes into forward and reverse, as it should. I drove the car in and out of the garage to take the pictures and it went just fine. The brakes don't work though, so the driving range is limited. The gas tank wasn't connected when I bought it about 10 years ago, so I just put in a jug with an electric fuel pump under the hood to move it around.

I am happy to answer any questions you might have or take more pictures if you'd like. I may also be able to deliver this Pacer right to your door. Just let me know where you're located and we can go from there. Lastly, I do have a clean and clear Minnesota title for it issued in my name. Thanks!
