I am selling my 1930 FORD Model A. The car was built by Jerry Burdick and Lauren Weir starting in 1956 in Olean NY. Jerry owend the car from the time it was built in 1956 till I purchased it in late 2013. The Model A body was bought off of Tom Hester who was a 74 year old Farmer in Cuba NY. He was the original owner of the 1930 Model A. Making Jerry the second owner. And me the 3rd. The frame was boxed from front to rear. It has a 1949 Merc Flathead (which was completely rebuilt in 2012), 938 3 speed tranny with 39 zephyr gears, 940 Ford rear end, 940 Fordrear suspension, 946 Ford front end, 940 Ford steering box, 948 Chevy tail lights, 931 chevy front marker lights, he seat is a shortend rear seat from a 1956 ford convertible the steering colum and wheel came from the same 1956 ford. Lauren Weir was a fabricator and worked in a foundry at the time of the build and custom sand cast the headlight standoffs for the car. All the parts were found in barns or junk yards around Olean NY in 1956. Its has original 50's edelbrock heads and tri power manifold with 3 ford 94 carbs with progressive linkage (the carbs have all also just been rebuilt), he car was painted in the summer of 1959 and is still sitting in that blue lacquer paint to this day. The car was driven daily in the sping, ummer and fall by Jerry from 1957 when it was completed until 1971 when he blew the motor. It was then stored in Jerry's heated garage from that time till I bought the car. In 2012 Jerry had theFlatheadcompletely rebuilt .060 over, OS idsky cam, djustable lifers, orted, elieved and the heads decked to the block. The motor has less then 500 miles on it. It still has the 1971 NY stickers on it from the last time it was on the road before I bought the car. The only things that have been updated since it was built are the gas tank and an 6 volt electric fuel pump. It runs and drive great and is basically a time capsule of 50's hotrods. You will not see another like it. Feel free to ask any ans all questions id be happy to answer. The only thing the car needs is an exhaust. I have a new set ofdrive-shaftstyle lake headers I had built for the car. They will go with it but are not on the car at this time.
