Description of 1970 Ford F-250 Sport Custom |
One owner, ll original born & raised in San Jose, alifornia 1970 Ford Truck - Brief History: The truck is a one owner vehicle. I recently saved it from the side of the original owner's house....sitting for 2 years after the elderly gentleman suffered a stroke and no longer able to drive. So needless to say that the truck was covered in 2 years of dirt and soot, ut fired right up when I turned the ignition. 84,996 original miles on original engine. 1970 Ford F250 Sport Custom Camper Special with less than 85,000 original miles on the original Ford 390 V8 engine. As you can see throughout all the fully detailed pictures....99% of the truck is original with the exception of the stereo (original AM radio will be included with the truck), teering wheel and tires of course. Because the original upholstery was severely torn on the driver side.....I did in fact have the entire bench seat professionally reupholstered. Engine runs strong, ody looks fantastic, nd interior is extremely clean. No leaks, ights and signals work fine. I get compliments on it on a daily basis...even when it sits in the driveway. Yes, his truck runs great and looks great (definitely a current daily driver), ut still needs it's minor detail work to make it an immaculate show truck (if that's what you're looking for), therwise this truck is just an up and coming collector's Item that is only increasing in value as the years go by. I do recommend a new battery and tune up in the near future. Also, here are a couple of cracks in the dashboard and a barely noticeable dent on the lower passenger door (easy fix). Please feel free to contact me with any questions. If you know your classics, our FORDS, nd have extensive car knowledge....you know what you're looking at and you know how wonderful and rare this truck is. Thanks for looking. Please note - FYI: I am in no way an expert in classic FORD Trucks. Like I said, saved this truck from rotting away and looking forward to finding it a good home. For all you experts out there, udging by the pictures, f you see something that may not be original on this truck (ie: mirrors, heels, umpers, indows)....you may or may not be correct. This 45 year old truck is still a classic, eautiful, runs strong and still is RARE. Not too many Sport Custom Camper Specials out there looking this great! If, nything......I would love to see someone make it 100% original :) Thanks again. |
