Description of 1972 Ford F-250 Camper Special |
1972 Ford F250 Camper Special Sport Custom 360ci Automatic 2wd Have yourself a ROOT BEER FLOAT. Yeah, that's what my family has called this since we've had it. This was a vacation truck from California. It originally came with a camper, which has been sold. I still have the video of the camper for your pleasure. I cannot verify the mileage on this, but the odometer has a little more than 26,000 miles. There is no evidence of accidents or any rusting rotted weathered panels whatsoever. I believe this to be a So Cal vehicle. The camper had Mexico tourist tags from 1973 and 1975. This truck still has bias ply tires. It was last registered in 2012. This truck was originally sold in California as evidenced from the original California Emissions Sticker on the driver-side window. The middle seatbelt still has the plastic wrapper on it and it is tucked away behind the seat. The dash pad has no cracks in it. The interior is very, very clean. Most steering wheels on these are completely ruined, but this one has a small crack. It has a strong 360, doesn't burn any oil, no smoking. Dual tanks. The power steering and power disc brakes work great. The truck runs smooth. Please see the video below This has a brand new battery installed about two weeks ago (about July 7, 2019). Brand new rear bumper and brackets. Very straight bed. The idle should be adjusted as it idles rather low. I haven't had the time to work on this. It starts right up, even after sitting over the winter. The wheels were just powder coated and wrapped with new 245/75R16 BF Goodrich All-Terrains. Camper Specials came with 1 ton frames with the 3/4 ton suspension, an F350 frame on an F250 suspension. This comes with a built in tool box. The truck is extremely solid. There is some surface rust on the underside but this truck is otherwise solid. The horn works. I believe fuel tank gauge needs a new float. Normally, I would fix that before selling, but I just have not had the time. One of the headlights is out from what I could remember. All the glass is good, doors open and close nicely. I bought a new truck last year so it is time to let this go. I have another project in my garage at the moment that I am focusing on. I am not desperate to sell this truck. Please let me know ifyou have any questions, I'm happy toanswer them. The truck is being sold AS IS, with no warranties being expressed or implied. $1000 PayPal deposit required within 24 hours. I will hold the truck for 7-days for the buyer to have funds fully cleared in my hand. Truck will not leave my possession without cleared payment. I will work with shipping company and the truck will need to be picked up within 3-weeks of cleared payment. 1972 Ford F-250 Sport Custom Camper Special Video will open in a new window Using the mobile app?
