Description of 1989 Ford Thunderbird

Asking price is $1500 OBO, however no offers under $1000 will be considered. The vehicle is in good shape overall. It has great gas mileage and handles well on the freeway. Plenty of room in the back seat and trunk. The exterior paint is chipping a bit from sun wear and a couple of the hub caps are missing. The cassette player has been replaced with a Kenwood CD player/radio with a USB port and remote. This vehicle has had many parts replaced in the last few years (see below), but is being sold as a project car. There's been an ongoing issue where the vehicle will suddenly shut off, requiring the vehicle to be started back up. The lights and CD player remain on, but I lose the ability to drive the vehicle. After multiple attempts to start it back up, it then runs again as if it never had an issue. There's no pattern to when it shuts off, and can occur days to months apart. Currently, the vehicle does initially start up.
Because of the work that's been done on it, and the fact that no mechanic I take it to can explain why it keeps happening, I've decided to give up on trying to repair it and sell it to someone willing to try and keep it running. It's believed that this issue is an electrical or computer issue, but it's not certain.
If you want to know more about the vehicle, want to see it in person, or want to make an offer on it, please feel free to get a hold of me. Aside from this ongoing issue, this T-Bird has been great to own, I just don't have any more time to invest into it. If you purchase the vehicle from me, I can have it towed to your residence if you live in the Tucson area, so that you get the vehicle without any problems and can keep the mileage low on it.
