Look no further. THE one you've been waiting for! A number's matching running, driving, and stopping S-Code 390 GT 4-speed Fastback. One of only 3,708 produced that year, and ONE of only FOUR in acapulco blue with an AM/FM radio. This car was assembled at the Dearborn plant on January 22, 1968 with the engine being cast a mere 5 days before. (8A17 = January 17, 1968) It has really nice options with power disc breaks, power steering, console, AM/FM radio (still working), and GT package with the 8K tach (also still working). Some people refer to this car's VIN# as a "Bullitt" VIN# because this is as about as close as you can get to the actual car used in the film aside from the paint color. The original owner lived in St. Louis, Missouri and had the car for the first 47 years of its life. One can reasonably assume the car was driven in the winter a lot due to the amount of rust on it. It was purchased from him approximately 3 years ago by a one man restoration shop and promptly placed into a dry storage container until the day I picked it up. This car is still mostly original with the exception of a few performance upgrades along the way which include a cam, headers, Hurst shifter, and aluminum intake. THIS IS NOT AN ENTRY LEVEL FASTBACK. It needs a complete restoration from front to back. I have two quotes by local shops for all the metal work and set in primer for $13K and $15K. This car has the potential to be valued well at $90K+ if restored properly with the original drivetrain (which has been verified). You can see how much these cars go for fully restored in other searches. All of that being said, I know what I have and I will not sell for less than what I have set the reserve price at. Additional details: Will come with newer parts including brake lines, fuel lines, gas tank, radiator, hood struts, and a power brake booster. Driver side glass is broken. Front, rear, and passenger are "car-lite" original. Windows roll up and down. All the pictures are 4K resolution so you can clearly see the amount of rust. Zoom in for closer details.
