Description of 1956 Ford Other Pickups Big Window |
With its distinct two-tone style, upgraded V8 power, A/C interior, and desirable big back window, this 1956 Ford F-1 is your opportunity at a full custom build. The paintwork will command attention wherever it goes. With a metallic orange on top and a deep tan on the bottom, this has the sweet appeal of an orange creamsicle. We especially like the silver stripe that separates the two colors. It draws extra attention to details, like the custom door treatment that gives you a cool take on the Ford V8 logo. So you can really tell someone invested in quality with this custom paint package. There are some signs that this truck has been enjoyed since its restoration, but there's an underling quality that will always impress. After all, the two-tone with silver line continues even into the door jambs. Plus, the brightwork all shines like a mirror on the bumper, grille, mirrors, and 17-inch Boyd Coddington wheels. Even the bed has been nicely done with bright slats and glossy lumber. The custom theme continues inside as the exterior orange returns on the door tops and dash. And now it's joined by two tans that are tastefully intertwined. We especially like the upgraded seat that keeps the classic bench look, but it now has better contouring for all-day comfort. And the ribbed insert of the seat even matches the pattern the custom door panels for a thoughtfully coordinated look. The wraparound big back window design lets in extra light to give this a nice atmosphere. Plus, you have great upgrades like power windows and cold-blowing R134a air conditioning. There's a wood-rimmed Grant GT sports steering wheel mounted on a tilt column, and this gives you an excellent view of the full Dolphin gauge package. When you lift the hood, you'll instantly recognize an engine bay that was built for both show and go. The smooth firewall and mirror-like inner fenders funnel your attention to the V8 upgrade in the middle. This 302 cubic-inch V8 looks nice with its tidy setup and Ford Racing valve covers. Plus, it has all the right upgrades, including an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, HEI ignition, electric fan, and headers that feed the rumbling Flowmaster dual exhaust. There have been some nice recent upgrades, including a rebuilt three-speed automatic transmission, new Ford 8-inch rear with versatile 3.42 gears, and a power steering box. Add in the grip of modern sport tires and power brakes with discs up front, and it's easy to enjoy this custom pickup on the open road. This is a restoration/build where they really sweated the details. So don't let a vintage truck with this kind of quality slip away. Call today!!! |
