1937 Ford Roadster Imagine a Hot Rodded car that has more unique lines than the original, is maintenance free fiberglass, allows the builder to put any engine within its confines they want, and has the reliability of any production car. A driver friendly car that is uniquely the builder's and none other like it. Hey WAKE UP!! We have a car for you!! All sourced from Coast to Coast body and chassis to start, bathe it in PPG Pale Orange, add in some muscle under the hood, custom wheels, a pop off hardtop and a fully complimented interior all clad in leather, and you will be the belle of the ball. Orange you glad you took a look?? Exterior All fiberglass smoothed over and sanded to perfection, then bathed in PPG Pale Orange paint, this customized body has been chopped and lowered. Teardrop headlights, a stylized V grille complete with horizontal ribs, a trio of round ports on the hood, shaped doors and a hardtop, and this could be your tangerine dream...car. No bumpers to interfere with the lines of the front and rear and cleanly inserted taillamps on back with a single rectangular tailpipe right in the center, all accented by the long sweeping tail, trunk lid, and pointed rear fenders. Let's throw in some snazzy wide pinstriping graphics along the beltline, add a chopped hardtop which is removable, and has rear glass, and our eyes are "juiced" with excitement. And lest we forget, 17-inch polished American Racing Torque Thrust wheels for the front, and 20 inchers for the rear, and it is go and show time! Interior A remotely popped swing of the suicide doors which are covered in black leather with orange accenting and is emulated by the leather power adjustable buckets and we are in a special interior. Between the seats is a center custom console that runs wild, and houses the Lokar shifter, Vintage air and heat, and AM/FM/CD with remote. Nice clean AutoMeter gauges with white faces show off within an orange fielded dash front. All very clean and simple design with chromed air vents in the round, and some horizontal ribs for extra accenting. Black carpeting is covering the floor, and the top is lined with padded black vinyl. The trunk is also custom covered in black leather with orange accents and some more black carpeting in two tire storage setup, which could be used for some drive in "viewing" if you so desire. Drivetrain 355 cubes of tuned port injection and a performance chip reside under the orange hood. This is cooled by an aluminum radiator and presents just beautifully in its jet-black environment of the engine bay. On back is a 700R4 4-speed automatic and it has a Vbeast heavy duty sun shell installed. A Ford 9-inch rear drives the rear fatties, and smoke 'em if ya got 'em applies here. Undercarriage All wonderfully clean, custom and near perfect underside showing off the Coast to Coast Chassis. Independent coil-over front suspension is showing, and on back 4 bar with coil-over configuration. Power disc brakes are within the Torque Thrust wheels all around, and a Flowmaster exhaust works its way rearward under the chassis. Drive-Ability Low and slow or fast and loose, this car offers up both options. It starts right up and runs just fab, with a rumbling cruise, and tight ride. The interior is comfy and all functional on the power conveniences, and the 4-speed automatic shifted smoothly. Power disc brakes brought this Sunkist car to an abrupt halt. Let's see, looks the part, runs like a clock, Pale Orange, and a great rod, how about a clockwork orange? Eat your heart out Stanley Kubrick!
