Description of 1966 Ford Mustang |
401.438.4444
This 1966 Ford Mustang is an instantly recognizable classic. It is a great driver quality car finished in fantastic colors: bullet green with off white interior. The car retains its original 289 but has been upgraded from a 3-speed manual to a correct 4-speed transmission. The bullet green paint on this Mustang is in very good condition and will definitely catch your eye. The chrome trim on the car looks great. This Mustang is very rare in that it has its original factory bench seat; one of just several thousand made this way in 1966. The seats and carpet are in great condition and were replaced by the previous owner. The motor is stock with an upgraded carb; the four-barrel carb is correct for the year. The original two-barrel carb is with the car. The rear shocks were upgraded to air shocks and there are overload springs on the rear. This car has the Shelby exhaust tips on it. Overall this Mustang runs great. The tires on the car are in great condition and have a strong grip on the road. It has been said that the wheels on this car are off of a batmobile. They are in great shape and really make the car stand out. Again the original wheels are available. The rear end has been upgraded to a limited slip rear but the original posi rear is with the car. If you're looking for a classic Mustang this is the car for you! It is getting very difficult to find clean early Mustangs with original drivetrains and manual transmissions. This is a great example and a tremendous amount of car for the money. Other Listings
