I am not fully familiar with all the parts he added but i have all the receipts and can send scans of them if you have further questions. 58k, No accidents, Clean interior in good shape, Full service records. Recently rebuilt, 3-Speed transmission AC works great. Power windows and seats all work. The original owner drove it for a short time, I was told it then went around a few dealerships (not the same as sep owners, but shows up on the record as a sale) it was then sold to the person who did the engine conversion and upgrades in Florida. I was told he had intended to use it for "street racing" but had to sell it for financial reasons shortly after doing the conversion. His contact info is in the folder of receipts in case the next owner has any questions for him. It was sold to an elderly man who brought it to Rhode Island, where he had it garaged for many years and only drove it on nice days with no salt on the roads. I know he took great care of it, it was his "Sunday drive" car. I'm now the 4th owner and I have had it in my parking lot, covered when sitting, and have given it every bit of attention it needs to stay in great shape. It has a couple Jaguar "quirks" (they all do), but if you give it a bit of love you will be very happy to own this car. What quirks? The gas gauge does not work. I was told to fix this you’d have to drop the gas tank and replace the float sensor. Nothing too difficult, I just have not had it done (I just fill up the tank every once in a while).I had thought there was a slow drain on the battery, but we just replaced the alternator and this seems to have fixed that problem.Only other thing to point out is the clips that hold the sun visors in place have both snapped. this doesn’t affect their function and should be an easy repair project if you can pull the clips off a parts car or find them for sale somewhere (this might not even need to be an authentic Jaguar part). |
