Description of 1990 Jaguar XJS

Selling my 1990 Jaguar XJS with Chevy LSX Engine swap. The car runs and drives good. it has current TX tags and I currently use the car as a weekend driver. I have a clean TX title in my name for the car. I will try to be as thorough as I can and list as much about the car as I know. The car does have working air conditioning and has the compressor hooked to a toggle switch under the temperature gauge. I was told the AC had a slight leak and would need recharged every 6 months or so but I have only recharged it once since I have owned it and it has always blown cold. The main thing that the car really needs is the wiring for the engine swap and ecu mounted either inside the car somewhere or mounted better somewhere under the hood as it is currently zip tied out of the way (see photos) The car does start right up every time though and runs good. It drives pretty good going down the road and has a smooth ride to it. a slight shimmy at lower speeds when braking sometimes but nothing out of the ordinary for a car of this age. could probably use some brakes. The transmission shifts smoothly through all of the gears with no issues. Please read the full ad and view all photos of the car. The car is sold as-is. If you are interested in taking a look at the car you are more than welcome to setup a time to come check it out. I will post links to the car running and more photos below:Video of the car running to demonstrate exhaust: Video Here is a link to more photos of the car: Photos Interior The interior is pretty clean with normal wear and tear for a 25 year old car. The drivers seat does show some wear as it is an older car. The wooden dash trim is also cracking in the middle of the dash and near the glove box(see photos) The horn button is mounted under the steering column. All of the gauges except for the tachometer and the oil pressure gauge are working. The car has a Nardi Mahogany Steering Wheel and the center console has had the ash trays replaced with cup holders instead. however I do have the old console piece that goes with the car as well as the ash trays. The glove box latch needs repair however it does open and close easily. The tops of the rear seats have slight tears(see photos). The Car has a stereo with a cd player but It does need an antenna. The cars shift linkage currently has access to Park. Reverse. Neutral. and Drive. but none of the low gears. Also there are no markers for the gears however I will include a sticker with the proper locations. Exterior The exterior of the car is pretty nice overall. It does have some small dings and scratches but nothing major. The paint is very nice on the car with the exception of the clear coat seeming to be coming off on the roof in some areas. as well as at the very end of the trunk lid. (see photos) I will try to depict the clear coat on the roof the best I can in the photos. The body is pretty straight with only one small spot of rust in front of the rear wheel on the drivers side(see photos) but even that is not very noticeable. The driver side fog light cover is missing and the passenger side has a busted bulb under the cover. Two new tires on the front. the rear tires have tread but appear older. Wheels are pretty clean with some slight oxidation. The car also has new windshield wipers. Engine I had originally purchased the car from an older gentleman who had the swap done. He claimed it was a ls1 from a corvette. I am listing the car as an Lsx swap because the pulley setups and fuse boxes do not appear to be from a corvette but again I am unsure whether it is a true corvette ls1 or an lsx conversion. The heads are marked "862" . Car has new exhaust from the catalytic converter to the axels. making it straight piped from the cats back. The car starts right up and idles smooth and pretty quietly and can be driven without attracting too much attention from the exhaust however I have also included a short video of the car to demonstrate the sound of the exhaust(the video is only intended to demonstrate the sound of the exhaust). The chassis has 134. XX miles and the mileage of the engine is unknown. Shipping and PaymentA $500 deposit is required within 24 hrs of the auction and the remainder is due within 3 business days.
