Description of 1988 Jaguar XJS XJ-SC |
Built in August. 1987. this Cabriolet is one of only a few left on the road from a three model year edition before full convertibles were reintroduced. It has removable targa top panels and a removable hind quarter section. effectively creating a convertible with safety bars. The hard-top hind quarter can be replaced with a rag-top. which I have and comes with the car. It's pictured in the last photo (before I put the new rims on). I like the look of the hard top part which is pictured in the rest of the photos. I have extensively modified the car and it drives better than new. I don't drive it often. but when I do I always think to myself "Why do I have a new Mercedes instead of just driving this all the time?" It's that fun and comfortable. Features include:Expanded air intakes and compensating exhaust modificationsCustom Ronal rimsT300 stock 3 speed transmission replaced by custom built 4 speed overdrive racing transmissionChrome trim additionsIgnition insulationAll black plastic in cab replaced with woodAll leather conditioned/repaired replacedAll carpets conditioned/repaired replacedPanasonic stereo/CD player with remote. subwoofer and speaker upgradesComputer upgraded and set with performance modificationsI could talk all day about this car and what I've done to it. The bottom line is I have about $30. 00 into it and it has to go due to my divorce and impending move. I'm happy to answer any questions. Please see the vehicle condition statement in this listing so you have all the details of what to expect. You will be responsible for picking up the car. I have services I have used in the past I would be happy to recommend. but my recommendation is you go with a service that offers flat-bed delivery as this car is very low to the ground. |
