Description of 1954 Jaguar XK Roadster |
Chequered Flag International is please to offer this 1954 Jaguar XK120 Roadster in Pastel Blue with Blue & Grey interior & Tan canvas soft top & side curtains. Southern California car from new. The last owner bought it in 1957 and was very well known in the classic Jaguar community and a member of the Classic Jaguar Association. His name is Bruce Carnachan. nbsp;he is now 92 years old. You should Google him - 120's were a big part of his life. He got lots of use out of it over the years and he and his wife took it on several road rallys as evidenced by the dash plaques. Absolutely superb accident & rust free body & underside. Painted once in its correct color many years ago. paint is very presentable but not perfect. Interior is lovely. I would say the seats were redone around the same time as the repaint - correct and in leather. the carpets were done incorrectly and should be redone. Soft top is good as are the side curtains. Mechanically delightful - no smoke on start up. good oil pressure. lots of power. syncros & clutch are good. brakes & steering are also good. This is a superb surviving example. 58 years in the same hands - a wonderful story of a love affair with a 120 now coming to a close. Jaguar Heritage Certificate verifies all numbers and car color along with listing Hornburg Jaguar in Santa Monica CA as the original selling dealer. Chassis # 675728. Engine # F31298-S. Body # F7998. Gearbox # JL22930 Inspections encouraged. all sales AS-IS. Sales tax and license fees due if delivered in California. |
